Yantai Shimao Hilton: A relaxing choice in the off-season
For this short trip to Yantai, I chose to stay at the Shimao Hilton Hotel, known as the "tallest building in Yantai." Before my stay, there were many negative reviews of this old five-star hotel online, and I hope to share my real experience with this note.
The hotel is located at No. 53 Dama Road, Zhifu District, with an excellent location, not far from Yantai Mountain, Suochengli, and Chaoyang Street. The hotel is right next to Binhai Square, making it very convenient to enjoy the sea. I stayed in an executive deluxe king room on the 40th floor, with an unbeatable sea view, unobstructed in front, and I could enjoy the sunrise in the room. For me, who was looking for a relaxing trip in the off-season, this view was perfect.
The hotel's executive lounge, happy hour, and afternoon tea service are also worth experiencing. Although I was already full, I still went to the 41st floor to experience it. Overall, although the food variety here is not abundant, the scenery is intoxicating. The food seems to be carefully prepared for foreign guests, and I met many foreign friends during my stay. Overall, the scenery is the most impressive, followed by the service, and the taste is slightly inferior.
Breakfast is served on the 26th floor. Since it was the off-season, there were very few people at different times, allowing me to enjoy the wonderful experience of dining while enjoying the sea. The noodles here are freshly made, which suits my taste as a northwest daughter-in-law. The level of Chinese and Western food stalls is in line with the regular level of five-star hotels. Although there is nothing particularly outstanding, there are no obvious shortcomings.
The hotel's gym and swimming pool are outsourced, and you need to change elevators downstairs, which is a bit inconvenient. However, the swimming pool gave me a great surprise. When I went swimming at around 6 am, the pool water was already heated and suitable, and there was a private coach on site. I want to especially praise Coach Mi, who gave a serious lesson even though he knew I was a tourist. With the sea view outside the window, my swimming skills seemed to have improved significantly.
The hotel room rate is CNY 1,200 per night, which is much cheaper than the peak season price. Since there are fewer guests in the off-season, the experience of related upgrade services is great. For example, the hotel thoughtfully arranged for me to check in at 9 am and check out at 4 pm, which invisibly allowed me to enjoy half a day of leisure time.
In summary, I am very satisfied with this stay. Although the hotel's facilities are old, if the purpose of the trip is to relax in the off-season, I will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

You must stay at the pinnacle of Yantai to feel the breath of the clouds
When you come to Yantai, how can you not experience the grandeur of the northern sea? Wang Zhihuan of the Tang Dynasty had already given the advice: 'To see a thousand miles, go up one more floor.' Listen to the advice, everyone! Let's go upstairs! Booking this Hilton hotel in Yantai is also very wise, as it is directly located in the landmark building of Yantai's central business district—Shimao·Skyline, at a height of 323 meters, offering a panoramic view of the entire sea.
At night, Yantai is brightly lit. As the main carrier of Yantai's light show night scene, the hotel complements the coastline, forming a beautiful scenery. Walk to Binhai Square to enjoy the dazzling light show performance and feel the charm of the interplay of light and shadow.
Here, every room is a scenery. At an altitude of over a hundred meters, with a large bathtub and unobstructed view windows, the charming scenery of Zhifu Bay is fully visible. Soaking in the bath while watching the scenery, enjoying the cloud bathing experience, it feels like being in a fairyland.
The food is also not to be missed. The Seaview Buffet Restaurant offers a first-line sea view, allowing you to taste delicious food while enjoying the vastness and tranquility of the sea. The Yuxi Chinese Restaurant tempts your taste buds with authentic Jiaodong cuisine, allowing you to taste the flavors of home even in the clouds. The Lobby Lounge is a great place to experience cloud snacks, with cheese platters and ice cream that are irresistible.
In addition, the hotel's gym is also a highlight. The 24-hour personalized fitness environment and indoor heated swimming pool allow you to maintain a healthy lifestyle during your trip. Running on the treadmill, feeling the bustling traffic below, and further away is the sea that can hold poetry and distant places.
There are many attractions nearby, such as the Zhangyu Wine Culture Museum and Chaoyang Street Yantai Mountain Scenic Area, all within walking distance. It is also only about a 10-minute walk from Joy City, Wanda, Zhenhua, and other shopping centers, providing a full range of shopping, leisure, and entertainment options.

Discovering the Yantai Shimao Hilton Hotel: A Unique 'Luxury Adventure'
I heard some people enjoy staying at hotels, and I thought it was a joke! It wasn't until I checked into the Yantai Shimao Hilton that I realized this was no ordinary 'stay'—it was a unique 'luxury adventure'!
The location of this hotel is simply 'heavenly', as if it has snatched a piece of treasure in the heart of Yantai. As soon as I entered the lobby, I was dazzled by the luxurious decor, feeling as if I had instantly traveled to a medieval European palace! The receptionist's smile was brighter than the sunshine, making me want to award her the 'Best Smile Award'!
My room was like a mini 'luxury apartment', with a bed so soft it felt like lying on clouds, and a quilt so thick it seemed to have been piled into a small mountain. Standing on the balcony, I could also enjoy the beautiful seascape, feeling as if I was in a luxury villa on the sea!
At breakfast, I was simply 'shocked' by the dazzling array of food! Various breads, pastries, fruits, hot dishes, you name it, it was like attending a food 'carnival'! The waiters were so efficient they moved like lightning, and before I could even blink, the food was already in front of me!
Besides eating, there are so many fun places in the hotel! The fitness equipment in the gym looked super advanced, I almost thought I had come to a technology exhibition! And the massage service at the SPA center was like being enchanted by a fairy, making me feel completely relaxed!
Overall, this 'luxury adventure' left a deep impression on me about the Yantai Shimao Hilton Hotel. If you also want to have a unique 'adventure', why not try it here? Trust me, you will have a great time and enjoy yourself to the fullest!

A resort with both mountain and sea views: Yantai Shimao Hilton Hotel
The hotel environment:
The hotel building is simply a landmark, visible from a distance with its majestic structure. Approaching it, there's a large fountain pool that creates a tranquil atmosphere! The lobby's basic furniture is uniquely shaped, and the decoration must have been designed by a professional designer to be so exquisite!
The hotel rooms:
The sea view king room my friend and I stayed in during our trip is quite beautiful and exquisite. The room has an antique charm yet is filled with a sense of fashion. The bedding is soft and comfortable, made of very good material, and also hypoallergenic. The room also has a dining table, which is convenient for us to eat food we buy without dirtying the bed~ The bathroom is spacious and bright, with high-end basic toiletries that feel great to use. I even went to find out the brand of the toiletries!
Hotel dining:
The buffet restaurant is very affordable, and the seafood is fresh. The foie gras is tender, and I didn't feel like it was a bad deal at all~ The ice cream and milkshakes at the lobby lounge are delicious, and the presentation is exquisite. Enjoying the food by the window while looking at the scenery is really pleasant~
Hotel facilities:
The hotel's gym has a lot of equipment. We used almost all the fitness equipment during our stay, and I felt much lighter~ The tea room is nicely decorated, and all kinds of tea sets and tea bags are neatly arranged!
Hotel surroundings:
The hotel is near the Yantai Mountain Scenic Area, where climbing and looking into the distance broadens one's horizons; the sea bathing beach offers a view of the azure sea, and a beach walk is also a nice leisure option!
Hotel service:
The service staff are warm and friendly, providing us with detailed travel routes and transportation maps. They also proactively asked if we needed room service, which was so thoughtful and considerate!

Taking the kids to Yantai, this hotel really gives peace of mind
Accompanying the elderly and children to Yantai, I directly booked a sea view room at Shimao Hilton, because I was too tired, so I had to choose a reassuring one.
When I walked more than 10,000 steps, and in the evening, I took the elderly and children from Chaoyang Street to the hotel, I smelled a familiar scent, and I suddenly felt at home.
Pushing open the hotel's door, there is a 2.4-meter extra-large bed, and I don't feel crowded with my grandmother and baby on the same bed. Outside the window is a colorful sea view, which makes people reluctant to move when they sit on the viewing sofa. The bathroom is spacious and clean, and the sink is comfortable and convenient. For us who were particularly tired after playing for a day, it is really a blessing to rest while watching the sea view.
