You must visit Lushan in winter! Detailed guide (including expenses) Depart from Nanjing! Challenge yourself to travel 48 hours a week (28/50) Lushan. Check out the snow in advance and travel to Lushan on a budget. Transportation to and from Lushan: Take the cable car: It takes about 10 minutes to go up the mountain. Round-trip ticket: CNY 120. Swipe your ID card to enter the cable car after buying a ticket. Operating hours: 7:30–18:30 (November–April). If you don't get carsick, you can choose to take the scenic shuttle bus (CNY 90 for a round trip and 7-day pass). The whole journey takes about 1 hour. Transportation on Lushan: Scenic shuttle bus: CNY 70 (If you are physically fit and want to climb the mountain, you don't need to buy a ticket). Lushan admission ticket: CNY 160. Lushan is divided into the west, central, and east lines. West line: Ruqin Lake → Jinxiu Valley → Xianren Cave → Datianchi → Longshou Cliff → Power Station Dam. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lushan without getting too tired. It takes half a day to a day. 2. Central line: Lulin Lake → Lushan Conference Site → Lushan Museum → Meilu Villa → Old Villa → Wangjiang Pavilion → Xiaotianchi. These attractions are concentrated around the town and are more inclined to cultural and historical sites. It takes half a day. 3. East line: Hanpokou → Wulao Peak → Sandie Spring → Lushan Botanical Garden → Lulin Lake. These are the highlights of Lushan. You can watch the sunrise and sea of clouds at Hanpokou. You need to be physically fit. It takes a whole day. Accommodation: It is convenient to eat and stay in Guling Town (be sure to book in advance! CNY 260/night). Meals: About CNY 40–50 per person. After climbing Lushan for a whole day, I went back to the hotel to take a shower. Fortunately, I brought disposable travel pants. They are a must-have for New Year's Day trips and hot spring trips. There are 2 pairs in a pack, individually packaged. You can wear them right after opening the package. Check the weather forecast🌤 and pack appropriate clothing. Remember to bring essential items like your ID card, student ID (for discounts), charger, umbrella, etc. Itinerary🚗 Day 1: Gantang Lake - Yanshui Pavilion - Jiujiang Yangtze River Bridge Morning: After arriving in Jiujiang, check in to your hotel and drop off your luggage🧳. After a short rest, head to Gantang Lake. The lake is crystal clear and sparkling. Take a stroll🚶‍♀️ along the shore, feel the gentle breeze, and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.
