Don't go to Hong Kong because it will make you explode with joy
When you come to Hong Kong, you must go to the beach to have fun! This time I want to introduce the Jelly Sea in Sai Kung, Hong Kong! It’s so beautiful that it makes people cry! (Detailed route included)
Transportation:
First of all, if you want to go to Sai Kung, you can go to Sai Kung Public Pier first. There are many ways to get to the pier. Generally, you can take the MTR to Exit C2 of Choi Hung Station and then transfer to minibus No. 1A. The fare is about 10 yuan, and you can pay with Octopus or cash. You can get off directly at the terminal.
However, it should be noted that during public holidays, you may find that there are no seats left when waiting for the minibus as all minibuses are full. At this time, we can choose to go across the road to take the bus, such as bus No. 92, which is also very convenient!
If you are not sure how to take the bus, you can ask the information desk at the mall and they will give you directions. It is recommended to take the bus to the pier, which is also a very good experience and cheaper than the minibus. You will also get off at the terminal.
After arriving at Sai Kung Pier, find the ticket office and buy a boat ticket to Half Moon Bay (Xiamen Bay). The ticket price is about HK$40, including round trip. When buying tickets, remember to ask about the return time and keep the ticket stub as you will need it for the return trip.
Tips for Half Moon Bay:
It takes about 20 minutes by boat to reach Half Moon Bay. The scenery along the way is also very nice. Once you arrive, you can reach the beach through a long path. You will see that the sea water here is really beautiful, it is a fluorescent green color and very clear. The light is most beautiful between 2 and 3 pm, so remember to take sun protection measures. Walking along the beach, there is a small shop where you can rent parasols, swimming rings, and lockers are also provided. There are also drinks and snacks there, but the prices are relatively high. We rented a parasol which was available until 5:30pm and the total cost was about HKD120 which included HKD100 rental which was refunded when the parasol was returned. When installing the parasol, you can ask the staff wearing pink swimming trunks to assist you.
Choose a sunny day, wear sun protection, bring food and drinks, and you can spend the whole day there. Half Moon Bay also provides bathing facilities, but the water flow is relatively small.
