Kunming City Walk Exploration: Slow Time at Cuihu Old Street, Wuliduo, and Haigeng Park
Cuihu Park: Strolling through Cuihu feels like stepping into an exquisite ink painting. The scenery is not only picturesque but also rich in cultural heritage. We walked for a full two hours and still couldn't get enough; every view was captivating.
Old Street Charm: Initially, I thought the old street was just an ordinary commercial street, but it turned out to be a bustling shopping paradise. Several commercial streets are closely connected, offering everything from unique souvenirs to local snacks. Although the prices are slightly high, the unique atmosphere and experience are definitely worth it.
Wuliduo's Unexpected Delight: Although not detailed in the question, every corner of Kunming may hide surprises. Wuliduo might be such a place waiting for you to discover, so consider leaving some time for it in your City Walk.
Haigeng Park's Sea and Sky: After a day of walking, why not head to Haigeng Park and let the sea breeze wash away your fatigue? The sea and sky here will surely leave you with unforgettable memories.
Kunming, a city that makes you never want to leave once you arrive. Here, you can leisurely stroll through Cuihu and feel the tranquility and beauty; you can wander through the bustling old streets and find unique shopping pleasures; and you can let your soul relax completely in the sea breeze of Haigeng Park. The Greenery of Dianchi Lake - Kunming Haigeng Park
Dianchi Lake is the largest lake in Yunnan, and Kunming is located at the northeast corner of Dianchi Lake. With the city's development, Dianchi Lake has gradually become an inner lake of Kunming. Along the shores of Dianchi Lake, various resorts of different sizes have been built. However, there is a patch of green that people cannot bypass when getting close to Dianchi Lake, and that is Haigeng Park.
Haigeng is 8 kilometers away from the downtown area of Kunming, originally a wedge-shaped long dike stretching from east to west into Dianchi Lake. It starts from Haigeng Village in the east and reaches the foot of Xishan Mountain in the west, with a total length of 5 kilometers and a width ranging from 60 to 300 meters. The narrow Haigeng divides Dianchi Lake into two parts: the south side is the vast and misty Dianchi Lake, and the north side is known as the 'Grass Sea'.
Haigeng Park is built upon Haigeng dike. It was established in the 1960s and, after years of development, has become one of the most beautiful parks on the shores of Dianchi Lake, as well as the preferred place for people to appreciate the scenery of Dianchi Lake.
In Haigeng Park, people can stroll along the long lakeside boardwalk, wandering between the green waters of Dianchi Lake and the verdant vegetation of the park, looking across the lake at Xishan Mountain on the opposite shore, enjoying the charming scenery. The park also has large lawns for play, and a series of white sculptures that further enhance the beauty of this green space.

Haigeng Park in Yunnan
In the city of Kunming, Yunnan Province, where it is spring all year round, there is a world-famous Dian Lake known as the 'Beautiful Plateau Pearl'. The Haigeng Park, a tourist attraction, is located on the shore of Dian Lake. The park was established in the 1960s and is 10 kilometers away from the center of Kunming. Haigeng Park divides Dian Lake into two parts, with the south being the main body of the lake. Whether you look from afar or up close, you can see the vast and beautiful turquoise waters of the lake. The embankment of the park is lined with towering trees and green lawns. It is a great place for Kunming residents to relax and exercise, and also a famous tourist spot that visitors to Kunming must check in. The busiest time is in the summer every year, when there are crowds of tourists everywhere, as it is also a famous summer retreat and a very good natural swimming spot.

Haigeng Park
Walk straight along the Haigeng Dam, pass in front of the cableway, and you will arrive at Haigeng Park. Last time I was here, I took the cableway to visit the Longmen Scenic Area in Xishan, but this time I won't go there, just wandering around the park. There are slightly more seagulls visible on the shore here, attracting many tourists to stop by. The park is well greened, with wooden walkways to stroll on, and old eucalyptus trees are hung with wooden plaques for blessings.

Winter has its own meaning|I've arrived in Kunming, going to Haigeng Park to see the seagulls
At the beginning of the New Year of the Dragon in Jia Chen, I came to Kunming, which is like spring all year round.
In Haigeng Park, I saw red-billed gulls flying all over the sky.
They are a bit chubby, I don't know if they have been fed fat by everyone.
Every year, in order to survive the winter, red-billed gulls have to fly thousands of kilometers with great hardship.
On the vast blue waves, their lovely figures float steadily with the waves, just like the little rubber ducks that children play with in the bathtub.
Sometimes they are attracted by the calls of the surrounding crowd, and sometimes they hover in the sky in groups.
This winter, they met the waves of Kunming; and I, also crossed thousands of miles to meet them.
The meaning of winter, perhaps, is to make me start to be curious about animal migration.

The Plateau Pearl - Dianchi Lake
Dianchi Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Yunnan Province, known as the 'Plateau Pearl', with beautiful scenery, and is a national tourist resort.
Dianchi Lake's Haigeng Park, connected to Dianchi Lake in the south, connects to the West Mountain Dragon Gate Cableway in the west; adjacent to the National Sports Training Base in the east; and faces the south gate of Yunnan Ethnic Village in the north. The century-old eucalyptus trees standing along the lake, with their branches and leaves flourishing, are spectacular. Looking at the West Mountain peaks from the Haigeng pier, the peaks rise and fall, like a sleeping beauty floating on the lake, elegant and soft, quiet and peaceful. You can also enjoy the charm of the sleeping beauty by taking a boat tour. During the return journey of the luxury cruise ship, there are performances such as dance, Sichuan opera face-changing, and calligraphy by famous artists, which enriches the fun of lake-viewing. Dianchi Lake and West Mountain echo each other from a distance and depend on each other, forming a natural and beautiful landscape.
Tips
1. Cableway peak season ticket price: 100 yuan/person for round trip, 60 yuan/person for one way.
2. Different cruise ship models, different piers, and different cruise ticket prices.
3. Haihong Wetland Park is connected to Haigeng Park in the east, and you can arrange to play together.

I went to a place to see seagulls|This is the most beautiful place
I went to Kunming for three days
I watched seagulls for three days
I went to the following places:
1⃣️Haihong Wetland
Seagull quantity🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
It's half an hour's drive from the city
There is a free parking lot 🅿️ It's also free to enter the park
This is the place with the most seagulls👍 among the three places I went to. Especially at six o'clock when the staff feed the seagulls, there are a lot of seagulls.
There are no fences, so it's convenient to take pictures.
It's suitable for friends who go for taking pictures. Because it's very photogenic.
The waves are beating, and the seagulls are swinging in the lake.
2⃣️Cuihu Park
Seagull quantity: 🌟🌟🌟
It's in the city
Because I live nearby, I go for a walk in the morning.
But the city government is repairing the road recently, so it's not very convenient to drive there.
The number of seagulls is less than that of Haihong, and the seagulls of Haihong are leisurely, basically resting in the lake.
Stroll in the park, bask in the sun, play small projects, there are markets on weekends. The view for taking pictures is not as good as the other two places.
It's suitable for friends with children.
3⃣️Haigeng Park
Seagull quantity: 🌟🌟🌟
Parking is charged by the hour, and there are more people.
The park is free to enter, and the sightseeing car charges extra.
It's half an hour's drive from the city
I didn't go into the Haigeng Dam, because I saw that there were not many seagulls outside the Haigeng Park, so I didn't go in specially.
The entertainment facilities and food in Haigeng Park are more than the previous two, but there are also many people.
It's more suitable for friends with children. You can also tour Xishan.
📷:
All three places have staff who charge for taking pictures, and they can help call seagulls to take pictures.
I like Haihong Wetland the most personally.

The early winter Dianchi Lake Park is really beautiful (with nanny guide)
Don't just use Kunming as a transit station anymore, today I'm introducing Haigeng Park. From Haigeng Dam all the way to Haigeng Park, the autumn colors of Haigeng Park are rich, and it's great to take pictures while watching seagulls.
🍃Park Introduction
Haigeng Park is located on the east bank of Dianchi Lake. It is a beautiful park and a main viewing spot of Dianchi Lake. Haigeng refers to a long embankment deep into Dianchi Lake, dividing Dianchi Lake into two lakes. It's quite nice to tour and sightsee along the dam to the lake.
Here, trees along the lake sway in the wind, paired with orange-yellow walkways, brightly colored sculptures, and a fresh and beautiful environment. Every winter, Dianchi Lake is a paradise for red-billed gulls. At that time, feeding and watching birds in the park is a popular activity.
🏃Tour Route
Recommended route: Haigeng Dam→Lakeside West Road (Kunming's Little Kamakura)→Haigeng Park→Take the cable car→Xishan (watch the sunset)
📷About Photography
✅The Dragon King Temple next to Haigeng West Pier, not only can you take pictures of seagulls, but the red walls of the temple are also very photogenic.
✅The wooden plank road in Haigeng Park, with plane trees on both sides of the plank road, is full of atmosphere for autumn photography.
🕊️About Seagulls
Every winter, you can watch red-billed gulls here. Compared to the crowded Haigeng Dam, the cost-effectiveness of watching red-billed gulls here is higher. However, it is recommended to wear a hat because sometimes red-billed gull droppings fall randomly.
🚗About Transportation
⏰Opening hours: Free all day
🚘Transportation guide: Take bus 94 to Haigeng Park bus stop, walk about 700 meters to reach.
📍Detailed address: No. 1318, Dianchi Road, Xishan District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province
⚠️Tour Suggestions
✅Choose a good weather day to go to the park for a walk and watch seagulls. The park is quite large and requires walking, so it is recommended to wear a pair of comfortable shoes.
✅Kunming has a high altitude and strong ultraviolet rays, it is recommended to do a good job of sun protection to avoid sunburn.
✅You can stroll all the way from Haigeng Dam, and after visiting Haigeng Park, you can take the cable car to Xishan Scenic Area at the exit.

I still remember the manual focus on bird catching anxious ~ Sony image circle A9 really TMD is too good to use, from my camera flying speed, can be fired like a cockroach! I feel that I am so ferocious, I keep track of it from the viewfinder, and the green trajectory shines on the trajectory.

When you come to Kunming, you must go to Dianchi. The best place to look at Dianchi Lake is Haitang Park. On the season, it is naturally winter, not for anything else, only the time of the Dianchi has more cute red-billed gulls with red mouths flying around. Maybe its because the people here are always caring for them. The birds are not afraid of people coming into contact with him. If you have small snacks like bread, they will be rude. On, grab the delicious. Sitting on the bench on the shore, watching the full-fledged red-billed gull strolling by the lake, all the noise is stopped at this moment, and the time seems to slow down.
