Why you should go on a summer trip to Gyeongju, with flowers
#Travel course #Gyeongju travel #Gyeongju travel destination recommendation
Gyeongju is a tourist city, so there are many things to see and places to go, making it a great city to travel to in all four seasons. In particular, cultural heritage sites such as the Royal Tombs and Cheomseongdae that can be easily seen on the streets are new and unique scenery for tourists. Gyeongju, which has history, is like a large outdoor museum, so it's interesting.
In fact, in the past, when you think of Gyeongju, you only think of it as a school trip destination, and it wasn't popular because it wasn't developed enough to be a trip. However, now, they've reborn as pretty tourist destinations by planting seasonal flowers and erecting sculptures around each cultural heritage site. Thanks to this, SNS is overflowing with pretty photo spots for Gyeongju travel.
I'll recommend a few pretty travel destinations in Gyeongju that are perfect for this hot summer. :) I'm recommending them considering the route, so I think it's okay to travel like this!
💜 Cheomseongdae Flower Cluster
🌸 839-1 Inwang-dong, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do
🌸 Admission: Free
When you go to Gyeongju, most people start by visiting Daereungwon and Cheomseongdae. It is a good place for a walking tour because it is within walking distance from Gyeongju Terminal. There is also Hwangridan-gil next to Daereungwon, so you can enjoy a delicious trip. Gyeongju is finally getting rid of the stigma of not having good restaurants. :)
If you go behind Cheomseongdae, there is a flower colony, so you can enjoy a feast of various flowers. Depending on the season, the types of flowers such as zinnia, yellow cosmos, sunflower, and pink muhly change, so you can enjoy a variety of pretty flowers depending on the season.
🩷 Bunhwangsa Temple
🌼 94-11 Bunhwang-ro, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do Bunhwangsa Temple
🌼 Admission: Free
Since they planted seasonal flowers in Bunhwangsa Temple, which is not often visited by people, many people have been coming. In the summer, the zinnias in full bloom in various colors are really pretty. In the fall, the waves of orange yellow cosmos in one color are enchanting.
You can enjoy the pretty flowers from outside without going inside Bunhwangsa Temple, but while you are there, make sure to see Bunhwangsa Temple, our national treasure No. 30. It would be a more meaningful trip if you save pretty places with photos and also study our country's history. :)
💜 Gyeongsangbuk-do Forest Environment Research Institute
🌿 Gyeongbuk Gyeongju-si Tongil-ro 367 Gyeongbuk Forest Environment Research Institute
🌿 Operating hours: 09:00-17:00 every day
Gyeongsangbuk-do Forest Environment Research Institute on the Gyeongju travel schedule. It's a little strange, isn't it? It was famous for the single-log bridge photos on SNS for a while. It's really pretty here in the summer. It's like a forest from a fairy tale.
The single-log bridge is located on guide number 6. Go to the left. Popular places naturally have a lot of people. You have to wait in line to take a picture of the single-log bridge, so people's gazes can be a little burdensome, but since you're here, take a few pictures and quickly get out of the angle. If there's someone waiting behind you, you have to be considerate. Fortunately, the pictures turned out pretty. :)
Not only the single-log bridge, but there are so many green trees that there are many pretty paths in every corner. No matter how you take the picture, the colors are a work of art. Surrounded by many trees, I feel protected and purified.
🩷 Cafe Road 100
🌻 Cafe Road 100, 100 Bobul-ro, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do
🌻 Business hours: 10:00-21:00 every day (18:00 on Thursdays)
At some point, there were so many cafes in Gyeongju. For me, who drinks 2-3 cups of coffee a day, I'm really happy that there are so many cafes I can go to in Gyeongju.
The grass is green and the clouds are sky-high from the entrance to the cafe, and my heart is fluttering. I order two iced coffees at the counter and go to the right, opposite the counter, while waiting.
A photo spot with a frame that looks like a Polaroid film appears. It's an ordinary countryside landscape, but it looks strangely pretty, right? Now, the scenery has become even prettier with the sunflower field.
If you just sneak into a stable frame with a background and composition, you'll get a pretty picture. You can take pretty pictures of your bare hands!
💜 Bulguksa Temple
🙏 385 Bulguk-ro, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do Bulguksa Temple
🙏 Operating hours: 09:00-18:00 every day
🙏 Admission: Free
Cafe Road 100 is close to Bulguksa Temple. Bulguksa Temple is prettiest in the fall when the leaves are red, but if you have time, visit Bulguksa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and see the Seokgatap and Dabotap Pagodas that you only saw on coins, and travel through the history of Silla!
Following Hwangridan-gil, Bulguk-dong has Bulguksa Temple. If you have a delicious meal at Bulguksa Temple, you will have a full day of Gyeongju travel. :)
