Tashan Mountain is located on the east bank of the Lijiang River in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on the west bank of the Xiaodong River, and across the river from Chuanshan Mountain. It is 194 meters above sea level, with a relative height of 44 meters and an area of 2.75 hectares. Tashan Mountain and Chuanshan Mountain were the same mountain body a million years ago. Tashan Mountain is recorded in Xu Xiake's travel notes, and there is a monument to Xu Xiake's mooring place on the east bank of the Xiaodong River. Besides the many regular attractions in Xiangshan District, what impressed me the most was the scenery of Chuanbei Pavilion 🏞️ in Chuanshan Park. 🏞️ Chuanshan Park - Chuanbei Pavilion 📍 Address: North Gate of Chuanshan Park, Guilin 🧭 Walking: Enter from the North Gate of Chuanshan Park, walk about 80 meters along Chuanshan Park Road, you will see a zebra crossing, and next to it, there are steps leading up the mountain. 🚶‍♀️ It takes about 20 minutes to reach the top of the mountain and Chuanbei Pavilion. ✅ Free admission, no reservation required, open 24 hours. If you want to overlook the scenery of Guilin city and the Li River, you can come anytime. ✅ Chuanbei Pavilion is located at the top of the mountain on the north side of Chuanshan, with a rest pavilion and a viewing platform. The top of the mountain is unobstructed 360 degrees, making it suitable for watching the sunrise 🌅 or sunset 🌄. ✅ The hiking trail consists of stone steps with railings on the side, well-maintained and easy to walk. It's not that the sunrise and sunset are not beautiful elsewhere, but Chuanshan Park is just so reliable, safe, convenient, and offers a great view. Due to the various uncertainties of watching the sunrise, most people come to watch the sunset, and the recommended time to arrive at the park is 1-1.5 hours before sunset. I arrived on May 23rd, at 5:30 pm. Chuanshan Park is easily accessible by public transport, usually entering from the north gate, which is also the default destination for Didi rides. Currently, cars are not allowed into Chuanshan Park, but people can enter freely. Chuanshan Park is not large, and upon entering, you can quickly see the lake island on the right.
