Located in Tianshi Town, Xianju County, the Gongyu Scenic Area in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, is a pristine ecological scenic area known as the "Shangri-La of East China." Located approximately 1,000 meters above sea level, the scenic area features predominantly volcanic lava landforms, boasting a fully developed vertical formation with exposed rock masses and numerous independent stone pillars, generally around 200 meters high and of varying shapes. Key attractions include Gongyubei, Shenlong Waterfall, and the former residence of Ke Jiusi. Gongyubei, a 200-meter vertical volcanic rock face, offers panoramic views of a sea of clouds at the junction of three provinces. Shenlong Waterfall resembles a white dragon entering a stream after rain, and rainbows are common on clear days. Gongyu Village within the scenic area is nestled at an altitude of 600 meters, surrounded by dramatic peaks. It is divided into two natural villages, Shangping and Xiaping. The area is beautiful in all seasons: in spring, there are fields of rapeseed flowers, in summer, camping under the stars, in autumn, admiring the golden waves of rice paddies, and in winter, witnessing rime and icicles.
