Visiting Hokkaido, this time I stayed at the Kitayuzawa Mori no Soraniwa Onsen Hotel. The hotel is located in an excellent location in Date, with convenient transportation that allows you to easily explore popular attractions and dining options. Kitayuzawa Onsen is within walking distance. You can also drive to Showa Jozankei from here. The guest rooms are cozy and comfortable, with an area of about 30 square meters. Dinner at Midori no Kaze in Kitayuzawa was child-friendly, and the children's section was full of fun. The large amount of octopus sausages was fun for adults too. Horohoro Sanso is a long-established inn in Kitayuzawa. It looks smaller and older than other inns in Kitayuzawa, but the hot springs were amazing. It has a very modern Japanese interior and a spacious space, and there are many baths to enjoy. The contrast with the exterior is so great that it's a shame! lol It's definitely a place I want to go back to. There is the Pearl Mountain Cable Car, highly recommended 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 We walked from Lake Toya Station to the cable car station, the scenery we saw along the way was very beautiful😍, but taking the cable car from the observation deck on the mountain, the scenery is another feeling😇 There are snow scenery, forest view, Toya Lake view, the white smoke spraying Showa Shinsan volcano view, very shocking! After taking the cable car, take a taxi to the train station in 5 minutes 😂 (but it took more than 1 hour to walk 😂😂😂) To return to Sapporo at night, Toyako Station has a high-speed bus (Toyako Hot Spring - Nakayama Pass - Sapporo) directly to Sapporo, the journey is 2.5 hours (2780yen). I had heard that Mori no Sora Niwa was good for families with children, but I didn't expect it to be this big, so adults could eat leisurely (lol) First of all, the table where you get the buffet is child-height, and the meals are child-sized. There were also lots of rice dishes like potatoes and salmon sushi that children like. Of course, there were things you could give to children in the adult area, but the children's area is 100 times more attractive for children (lol) And there was a play space inside the buffet venue!! My family got a seat right in front of it, so we could eat our meal in peace while watching our children play. The restrooms were also inside the buffet venue, and there was a diaper changing station, which was nice. Also, for those who still can't let their children play, there were picture books and other things that you could borrow! That's what they said! Inside Mori no Soraniwa Asoboya Part 2! Both kids and adults can have a blast (lol) Mazes in the ball pool! Slides that you can dive into the ball pool... The maze is child-sized (lol) It's hard for adults, but it's just the right height to walk through, so kids can walk through it easily. Adults get caught playing demons right away! Located in Mori no Soraniwa This is the first introduction to Asoboya! It was so much fun that we split into two groups (lol) Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there are rules such as wearing masks, so we followed the rules, including inside the building, and had fun playing to the fullest. Everything is child-sized, with playhouses and blocks in the small house, and a fun swing that sways back and forth in the elevator hall, although it doesn't move. Cars that children can move by pedaling or turning the handle Yogibo and a picture book corner, and magnets that stick together. We were so excited to play here and there! The reason for the excitement continues in part 2...it can be used for day trips...I think I'll take them there again. If you are staying overnight, you can play for one night and two days with the entrance fee! This time, we chose a Japanese-Western style room, taking into consideration that our child is 2 years old and still running around. With tatami mats, you can take off your shoes and laze around, so it's recommended for adults too! And what I thought was great about this system was the amenities!!! In the elevator hall, there are amenities like those in the room, such as toothbrush sets and brushes, so please take only what you need!! This is great! You don't have to take what you don't need... but the ones in the room are a bit insufficient. I wish there was an extra toothbrush set for the kids, but there's no hassle of having to call the front desk! The kids can choose what they like and use it! It's fine if they both have the same color! Also, I wanted to use both my daughter and I'd like to use hair ties (lol), so we got a few extra and made sure we only used them in the hotel! It's also great that the hotel wear is available in the lobby! You can take it after checking in, there are three sizes for children, and even a large size for adults, so you don't have to ask the front desk for a larger size, so it's not embarrassing (lol) There are only towels in the room, but it was nice to be able to choose what you like! The good thing about the room was the power outlet by the pillow! This is essential for a smartphone, so it's a necessary point! There are two of them on both sides of the bed, so one person won't be far away. There were chocolate snacks and a 2-liter bottle of water in the refrigerator, and tea bags in the room, so it seemed like we could relax! This alone is fun😊 There are many sofas that are tall enough for even children to sit on by themselves, so they sat on various sofas with grins on their faces. The early bird catches the McGriddle After checking out, we drove for about an hour and arrived at the Noboribetsu Sakuragi Tunnel at 0955. The cherry trees were already very withered. The weather was very good and I suddenly wanted to visit Jigokudani. The sky was cloudless and I felt particularly refreshed. At 1100, we took a short break at "Usuyama SA". There was a large group of middle school students resting here, sitting on the grass, looking at (from left to right) Usuyama, Showa Shinzan, Toyako Nakajima, and Mt. Yotei. What a carefree life. It takes 40 minutes by car to reach Uju Zenkoji Temple. The cherry blossoms in the temple are in full bloom. Many Japanese people come here to enjoy the cherry blossoms. We arrived at Aoba-gaoka Park in Mori-machi at around 13:30 along the toll road. There were dense cherry blossoms, mainly Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms. Unfortunately, the cherry blossom season had passed, otherwise the snow-white cherry blossoms would have been stunning. The Sakura Festival also has performances and street markets, so there must be a constant stream of tourists. We were a bit rushed for the cherry blossom viewing in Hakodate this time, and wanted to skip some of our original itinerary, but luckily we did not miss "Michi-no-Eki YOU・遊・もり", which is less than a 5-minute drive away. The very large Michi-no-Eki Park is planted with many Somei Yoshino cherry trees, Oshima cherry trees, Horii Hizakura trees, and Yae red weeping cherry trees. With the breeze, the legendary scene of cherry blossoms blowing in the snow is hard to erase from our minds. From the observation deck, we can also see the scene of Hokkaido Komagatake and cherry blossoms in the same frame. This is the northernmost castle tower in Japan and the only feudal castle in Hokkaido. It is of great significance. Combined with the tranquility of Matsumae Castle, the cherry blossoms are particularly beautiful. On the way back, the sun set. We went to the nearby Shirakami Cape, the southernmost observation square in Hokkaido, and looked out at the Tsugaru Peninsula on the other side. We went to Midori no Kaze with our family. It was our first time staying at this inn, so we were all really looking forward to it. First, let me introduce the rooms. It only takes 20 to 30 minutes to drive from Toyako Hot Spring Area to the cable car station of Mount Usu. There is a parking lot nearby with a parking fee of 500 yen per day. After that, you can take the cable car up the mountain and reach Usu Volcano in about six minutes. The scenic spot has a trail that allows you to walk directly to the Usu crater. Interested travelers can also hike around the crater, which takes about 1.5 hours round trip. For me, this onsen resort is one of the best because the outdoor Onsen is made up of rocks, is big, spacious and beautiful. It makes you feel like you’re amidst the mountains and the water is crystal clear and seeing the snow falling to cover up the whole place! Dinner buffet had a huge variety and taste was amazing too! We loved the roast beef which was done perfectly! Breakfast serve at the same restaurant too, with plenty of food to choose from! This hotel is in the middle of nowhere and you feel like you are staying between mountains. The resort is serene and beautiful. I really enjoyed the natural feeling yet luxurious experience you can find it here! #resortstyle
