Natural scenery
Located within the Arctic Circle, the Brooks Mountains are the northernmost national park in the United States. Humans have lived here for 13,000 years since records began, and there are six pristine rivers in the park. About 1,500 people still live here, including the Athapaskan and Inupiat people and some non-native Alaskans. The park can be roughly divided into two parts due to different topography. The southern slope of the mountain is a undulating black spruce forest, which is lush and lush, and the northern side of the mountain is the arctic tundra that is endless and treeless. In summer, the sun in the Arctic Circle rises on the horizon 24 hours a day, and wild flowers and grass suddenly bloom on the tundra on the north side. Occasionally, reindeer with beautiful antlers roam the park, and brown bears, wolves and foxes roam for food, and one cannot help but sigh that the environment here is unspoiled.
