Unintentionally, you might discover this small funicular station. A one-way ticket costs only 5 euros, offering great value for money! Before boarding, why not take a break at a café at the foot of the mountain, enjoy an authentic Italian coffee or a drink to add some charm to your upcoming aerial journey. As the funicular slowly ascends, the scenery before your eyes becomes increasingly spectacular. Whether it's the winding mountain roads or the shimmering lake surface, it is all breathtaking. A pleasant visit. Funicolare Como-Brunate ride was included in IVOL pass. It was €6,60 for return ticket without the pass. There’s a shuttle bus service available to go to and from the lighthouse. We chose to walk there and it took around 30mins. The view up there was spectacular! Took the shuttle bus for going downhill to catch the funicular and the ride was also covered by IVOL pass! #visit_to_como

The Como Brunate funicular or funicolare is a fun cable car ride that brings you to the top of Lake como, on the hill side. This cable car was first opened in 1894 and has been operating since then till now. It's mind blown how this cable car of such long history can be so well maintained and is still in excellent workable condition. The cable car ride is not very long and as it makes its ascend, you can slowly see the view from up high. I was even more amazed with the beautiful scenery when we finally reached the hilltops. You can see the little colourful houses that lined the area and as it was evening time, we get to admire the wonderful sunset on the hills. This is a sight to remember and why not take the cable car up? It's another way of experiencing Lake Como and it was a memorable time for me. #tripblazers
