Birthday Desserts: Pre-order in Advance
Today, I celebrated a friend's birthday. We had pre-ordered a birthday dessert when we made the reservation. The staff wrote birthday wishes on the plate, and there were birthday discounts. Remember to ask the staff about it when making a reservation.
The birthday dessert was [FireBird's Homemade Fluffy Strawberry Daifuku $38]. The daifuku's outer layer was soft and thin, encasing a large, sweet strawberry with mildly sweet and smooth red bean paste inside. It was particularly delicious.
The [Special Hand-rolled Sushi Platter $328] included medium fatty tuna, salmon, Japanese amberjack, Japanese scallop, Japanese sea urchin sashimi, conger eel, botan shrimp, salmon roe, and tamago. The sashimi pieces were more than twice the normal size, fresh and delicious. I especially liked the thick and juicy scallop sushi.
If you like chicken, you should choose the [FireBird Chicken Skewer Platter $138]. It included tender chicken breast and thigh meat, paired with green onions to reduce the greasiness. Adding shichimi powder made it even more delicious. The homemade minced chicken stick, paired with fresh Japanese egg yolk, was also very tasty. The chicken stick was chewy and juicy, and the okra was crisp and slightly sweet, making it a healthy and delicious choice.
We also ordered the [Japanese Chicken & Vegetable Tempura Platter $128]. The chicken was flavorful and firm, with each piece being crispy and delicious. Paired with red peppers and crunchy vegetables, it wasn't too greasy. The [Chicken Wing Skewer $32] had a golden-brown crispy skin and tender meat.
For drinks, we ordered a [Grape Soda $48], which was refreshing and mildly sweet. Another drink was a mocktail [Lychee Frozen $68], which was ice blue in color, made with lemon juice, lychee, and lychee syrup, topped with slush and sweet lychee flesh. One sip was incredibly refreshing.
