This time, I stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott Tochigi Nikko. It's a casual hotel with no restaurant. It's close to Nikko Toshogu Shrine, so it's a great hotel for sightseeing in Nikko. I went there thinking it was a business hotel, but when I parked my car at the entrance, the staff came out immediately and helped me unload my luggage, and when I checked in, they carried my luggage to my room. They even provided umbrellas when it rained, so the service was just like other Marriott hotels! It's still new and clean, and the hotel is quiet and relaxing🎵 There are only twin and double room types, so there isn't much variety. It was my first time staying in a hotel without a bathtub, but I was able to stay comfortably😊 The parking lot is large, so it might be more efficient to leave your car here and take a taxi for sightseeing! I never had high expectations for hotels in Japan because they are not very large. Until I came across this Fairfield by Marriott Tochigi Nikko in Nikko, Tokyo💫 Although the location is not very convenient and you need to drive to get to the nearby restaurants, it is not a problem since we are traveling by car! Fairfield by Marriott is a cost-effective hotel under Marriott. There was an unexpected surprise during this stay 😳 The room is stylish, spacious and comfortable for two people - there is a small space for eating snacks or working near the window at the entrance of the room. The design is simple and elegant. I especially appreciate the smooth soundproof sliding door in the room, which is well made. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, clean and fresh. The room is spacious and very comfortable. There is a self-service pantry and a large dining table next to the lobby. In addition to the usual coffee/tea, there is also a Balmuda small oven for heating up noodles, which is very convenient and considerate! With parking lot, self-driving tour 👍

It is a bit far from the Tobu Nikko Station, but the environment and quality of the whole hotel are really great. However, the hotel does not provide food and beverages, only vending machines and iced coffee, etc. Remember to call a taxi from Nikko Tobu Station. The fare is about $1100 yen.
