Popular Photo Spot in Chengdu City Area | Erxian Bridge Park
Erxian Bridge Park is the first park in Chenghua District of Chengdu City that is dominated by railway relics. The park retains and re-lays some of the rails, and a special landscape has been set up at the original unloading platform. Auxiliary facilities such as searchlights, signal lights, and signs will be partially retained. They are located at the park and nearby road junctions to preserve the railway memory of the area.
It is said that Chengdu was a prosperous place in ancient times. During the Shangyuan Festival, people all over the city would come out to enjoy the lanterns. A scholar was attracted to the bridge by the laughter and music from time to time. He saw two people composing poems under the swaying maple tree. Upon closer inspection, they were Lv Dongbin and Han Xiangzi, two of the legendary Eight Immortals... For a while, the news of the two immortals coming to Chengdu spread, and everyone came to the bridge to see these two people, but the two quickly disappeared under the public gaze, hence the bridge was named 'Erxian Bridge'
