Great place for hot springs: Dusit Devarana Hot Springs & Spa Conghua, Guangzhou
Dusit Devarana Hot Springs & Spa Conghua is located next to Yuquan Avenue. It has more than 130 villas and rooms, all decorated in Thai style, scattered beautifully and uniquely throughout the resort. The main feature here is soaking in the outdoor hot spring pools, with reportedly 23 different therapeutic and aromatic pools. Breakfast is a buffet in the Western restaurant, and Thai cuisine is the main focus for lunch and dinner. However, we prefer to drive and taste the authentic local farmhouse dishes nearby.
After completing the check-in procedures at the hotel lobby, the hotel's electric car took us to our room. The room is 70 square meters, and judging by the decoration and amenities, it is quite high-end. My favorite is the Thai lemongrass tea bags, the instant coffee packs have a rich flavor, and surprisingly, there are small boxes of fresh cream in the fridge for making coffee, which was a pleasant surprise. Opening the floor-to-ceiling glass door of the room, there is a balcony of more than 10 square meters with a chaise lounge and a round tea table, and there is even a large bathtub (for sweating). Looking out from the balcony, the lush green trees and verdant grass are all in sight, making one feel refreshed.
To enjoy the hot springs, first register at the hot spring center with your room card. The 23 hot spring pools are scattered along the paths, which are winding and secluded. With the cover of trees, bamboo fences, and courtyard walls, it feels like being in a maze. As each hot spring pool appears, it gives a sense of treasure hunting, making it hard to leave.
Three days passed quickly, and we will come back to Dusit Devarana Hot Springs & Spa Conghua next time.
