🛬 The days of university entrance exams in Korea are approaching, opening new doors and dreams for students, let's join Korea Travel to learn about one of the typical traditional schools of Korea called Dalseong Dodongseowon.
🎍 Located in Daegu, Dalseong Dodongseowon was built by Jeong Gu (pen name: Han Kang), an influential Confucian scholar in the Joseon Dynasty, to honor the virtues and contributions of Kim Gong Pil, the most respected Confucian scholar, painter, and teacher in the five eastern counties at that time.
✨ There are a few rules that ancient Korean scholars had to follow when studying that you can learn at Dodongseowon:
✅Tidy up your robes before climbing the stairs.
✅Enter through the East Gate and exit through the West Gate.
✅Bend over the steps and bow your head to enter the central lecture hall.
This means that to be worthy of studying at this ancient Library, scholars must have the spirit to lower their ego. And there are many other special things about Dodongseowon.
