Sky Blue Sky🏝 Here's how you can travel to a resort island in the Maldives on a budget⛵ When you think of the Maldives, you think of resort islands🌴 But staying there can be quite expensive! However, there is a way to stay on a local island and visit a resort island on a one-day tour♪ I visited Adaaran Club Rannalhi I was able to go from the local island of Maafushi for $105🤗 The fee includes the boat ride to the resort island and food and drinks on the island (including unlimited alcohol🍻)! As you can see in the photos, the sea and overwater bungalows are stunning✨ I wanted to stay in an overwater bungalow, but I was happy to experience the resort vibe on a budget✨ *You can stay on Maafushi Island for about $30 per night per person.

The food was outstanding with an extensive selection to pick from. Kudos to the chefs! Appreciated how the hot meals stayed hot and the cold ones cool—felt very safe consuming everything. Enjoyed the nighttime theme and valued the allergy labels, especially for seafood. Our rooms were amazing. Loved staying in the water villa and watching the sunset from the deck each afternoon. Cocktails were a tad overpowering! Much better once I asked for less alcohol. Nice variety of spirits, beer, and wine. Sabrina was delightful, always welcoming, attentive, and helpful. The housekeeping crew was remarkable. It felt truly luxurious with fresh towels, water bottles, and a made bed twice a day. Snorkeling was beyond expectations. Would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at Adaaran Club Rannalhi. The water villas are stunning, and I highly suggest opting for one for the complete Maldives experience. The activities were superb, offering a wide variety and entertaining games to keep guests involved. Our stay at Adaaran Club Rannalhi Resort was fantastic. The island's beauty is striking, with clear waters teeming with various fish and even baby sharks close to the shore. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive; we deeply appreciated their warm hospitality, especially Ali & Sabina. The food was tasty and delightful as well. Daily activities like karaoke nights, beach parties, and traditional dances added to the fun. Overall, our experience was memorable and soothing, and we would gladly visit again for our next holiday.

Stunning views and a fabulous location made for such a tranquil holiday experience. The bartenders could improve on being approachable and interactive, and the bathroom might benefit from a small upgrade. The beachside BBQ seafood night was delightful. Bibo, the fun activities instructor, was excellent. I'd prefer the complimentary watersports to be extended to 30 minutes instead of just 15. Dining room staff like Sabina offered great friendliness and engagement. Spa staff were lovely and all treatments were fantastic. I highly recommend this holiday. 😎

Thank you for the amazing hospitality. From the airport to the resort, everything was handled perfectly, making our first Maldives trip a lovely honeymoon adventure. The rooms are comfortable and tidy, though the water villa bathrooms could be cleaner. I must mention the friendly and accommodating staff at Adaaran, particularly Sabeena, our server during our 4-day stay, and the lively entertainer, Bivo—both were outstanding and made our visit even more enjoyable. I'm also grateful to Chefs Bandara and Sampoorna, who took our food feedback seriously and treated us with a fantastic seafood dish on our last night; the service is commendable. My stay was wonderful, and I hope anyone visiting has a similarly amazing experience.

Hello, this is Sowmiya S. My husband and I visited the Maldives for our honeymoon. Being our first international trip, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff here are courteous and lovely, always attentive to our needs. The variety of food offered was incredible, and tasting each dish was a delight. Service catered to our preferences and tastes, for which we are thankful, especially to Ms. Sabina for her attentive care and Chef Sampoorna for the delicious meals. Scuba diving was an outstanding and memorable experience, with much appreciation to our guide Marco for his guidance and support throughout the activity. Grateful for the delightful experience during our entire stay.

Restaurant – The variety of food options is extensive and truly tasty. Props to Samrin, who was incredibly supportive and welcoming, boosting our overall experience. Beaches – The beaches are stunning! There are numerous snorkeling sites around the island, perfect for photo ops. Room – We stayed in a water bungalow. The views and experience were good, though the room felt slightly dated. The sunbeds had cushions that were frequently damp and musty; it would be great to replace them with those used on the beach. Our first sunset was obscured by a large boat, but thankfully it wasn't there the following day. Resort Staff – The staff were decent on the whole. Some were quite amicable, though several were somewhat indifferent. More warmth, especially from the public relations team, is needed. Amenities - Facilities like the gym and mosque are staff exclusive.

Having recently returned from our wonderful holiday, we felt compelled to once again commend the Housekeeping Team for their incredible service during our 4-night stay in the Sunset Overwater Villa. The Housekeeping Manager, Visam, and our housekeeper, Naveen, were instrumental in facilitating our move from the Beach room where our stay began. They made this transition seamless and even ahead of schedule by three hours, with equal efficiency when we checked out. Visam consistently checked on us, whether in the room or in passing on the island, ensuring that no issues went unnoticed. Furthermore, Naveen decorated our room twice, adding personal touches well beyond the basic expectation, as did the team in our initial room. Both Visam and Naveen went above and beyond to deliver extraordinary customer service, surpassing our highest expectations, as did the other housekeeping staff during our entire stay on Rannalhi. We can affirm, as we did in a previous post, that both our Beach room 210 and Sunset Overwater Villa 404 were of superb quality, and the teams at both sites added significant value to the island's staff. We highly advise anyone holidaying here to experience both beach and overwater accommodations to fully appreciate this beautiful and welcoming location.

Had a fantastic experience on this island and would suggest it to everyone. They turned our honeymoon into such a romantic experience—it was incredible. Special gratitude goes to our server, Hisarm, at the buffet. He ensured our table was immaculate and our drinks were always topped up—truly outstanding service. Also, I want to express thanks to the musician who performed during our stay. Although I don't know his name, he performed our wedding song beautifully and has an incredible voice. Our experience at Adaaran Rannalhi has been truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and with smiles. The resort amenities were excellent. The main buffet restaurant offered delicious food, with a wide variety to suit all tastes. On our second night, we enjoyed a seafood BBQ on the beach which was divine. Our main wait staff, Ali and Sabrina, were so friendly and always served us with a smile. They also assisted with organizing a surprise birthday cake and table decorations for a friend's birthday. We had a blast doing Aqua Zumba and Aqua Aerobics with Bibo and Moni, which was a smart way to get us active, and it led to plenty of laughs. I had a facial from Sunti at the Chavana spa—so relaxing that I likely fell asleep. While on the island, we also enjoyed snorkeling and seeing the stunning fish near the island. We went on the Sunset Cruise and Ocean Explorer shark sighting tour. Although I missed the name of the staff member running it, he did an excellent job capturing photos for everyone. The cocktails at the bars were tasty, although the bar staff lacked smiles, which was the sole disappointment. We stayed in an upstairs room, where the housekeeping was great, servicing the room twice daily. The only issue with the room was the drainage and plumbing in the bathroom. Overall, it was a lovely stay here, and I'd recommend it to others.

The service, particularly housekeeping, has been impressive. Every request was addressed promptly and effectively. Our diving adventure was thoroughly enjoyable; our instructor Louisa displayed great competence, instilling full confidence in us. The snorkeling was fabulous and not to be missed. The Dolphin Safari was enjoyable; the crew excelled in spotting dolphins and the refreshments were delightful. Adding an explanation at the start about the trip's itinerary could enhance the experience. It was unfortunate that the local village trip didn't proceed due to insufficient participants, despite us signing up 4 or 5 days in a row. The hotel accommodations, especially in the water bungalow, were beautiful, and the champagne and fruit were a thoughtful gesture. We did encounter cockroaches occasionally, but the staff handled it quickly. Having a reserved table for each meal was convenient and eliminated the stress of searching for a table. Sabina, our waitress, was extremely attentive and made a genuine effort to connect with us. The food was abundant with plenty of variety and was consistently fresh. However, as a vegetarian, there was a limited selection of protein-rich dishes; adding mushroom or bean/lentil options would be beneficial. Nonetheless, overall, a very good experience. We would certainly recommend this excellent, well-managed hotel.

We spent three nights at this resort and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Our room was situated at the western end of the island near Niva Bar; it was both tranquil and spacious. The meals were delectable, served in buffet style with a diverse range of foods accommodating all preferences. Snorkeling around the island was an enriching experience, letting us see plenty of fish. We extend our gratitude to the kind staff for our delightful stay, particularly Sabine, our waitress, who was welcoming and a joy to engage with.
