Daxingguo Temple, formerly known as Daqing Temple and abbreviated as Daxing Temple, is located in Xiaoxichong Village, Qingyan Town, Huaxi District, Guiyang City. The original site was located on Zhonghua South Road in Guiyang City. It was built in the Yuan Dynasty and was one of the earliest Buddhist temples in Guiyang’s history. The relocation and reconstruction of Daxingguo Temple was completed on April 30, 2010. The new temple's buildings include the main gate, the releasing pond, the Heavenly King Hall, the Guanyin Hall, the Sutra Library, the Main Hall, the Bell and Drum Tower, the Abbot's Garden, as well as the Shengshi Pagoda, the Nine Dragon Screen, the Dharma Hall, the Guest Hall, the Five Contemplation Hall, and a vegetarian restaurant. The entire temple has a rigorous layout, elegant structure, and rich cultural and historical connotations. In Guizhou, apart from Hongfu Temple in Qianling Mountain, this is the most magnificent blessed place I have ever seen.
