I went to the one and only art hotel "Shiraiya Hotel / SHIROIYA HOTEL" ✨ Shiraiya Ryokan was founded in Maebashi, Gunma during the Edo period and was loved by many famous people. It had a history of about 300 years, but closed down in 2008. And in 2020, "Shiraiya Hotel" was reborn under the design of Sou Fujimoto. I'm happy to finally be able to go to this hotel that I've been wanting to go to ever since it opened. When I arrived, I was surprised to see that the Heritage Tower, which is eye-catching from the outside, is also a work of art (Pic.7). When I entered the building, I felt like I had wandered into a museum, with all the art works inside. And above all, there was an atrium that went up to the 4th floor. Leandro Erlich's Lightning Pipes were installed as if they were threading through the stairs, which was fantastic. It was also impressive that I could experience the art works just by going up and down the stairs... At night, it was illuminated in various colors, which was also fantastic. #AbsolutelyFreeTrip I went to the World Famous Dog Ranch in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture 🐶 The parking lot was quite crowded because it was Golden Week, but the weather was good and it was comfortable even outdoors ☀️ It was larger than I expected, and you can bring your dog and play in the dog run, or if you don't have a dog, there are separate areas for small, medium, and large dogs, so you can play with your favorite dog 😆 All the dogs are friendly and very cute 💓 You can buy dog ​​food for them! If you want to have a dog all to yourself, you can take them for a walk for ¥1000 for 30 minutes or ¥1300 for 45 minutes 🐕🦺 However, there was a huge line. Maybe it was because it was Golden Week, but I think we lined up for almost two hours. Depending on the timing, you can choose the dog you want to take for a walk from the photos of the dogs posted on the panel, but all that's left is the toy pool for small dogs, and the large and medium dogs are popular, so they quickly disappeared. I waited in line for 2 hours and there were only toy poodles, so I told the staff that I wanted to take my favorite sheltie Irumi for a walk, but it was already over for today... and they brought him over! Irumi is a laid-back person, so she might not walk around much, but they were flexible because I was happy to just spend time with her. The staff's response was amazing!! 😍 I spent 40 minutes relaxing with Irumi in the shade of a tree🥹👏🏻 That was enough for a happy time🩷 Irumi is a medium-sized area sheltie who seems to like to lie down between people's legs and is a super cute sheltie who is charming to all kinds of people🐶 In the park, there is a stylish cafe, a cute souvenir shop, a pet shop, and a grooming salon, so you can have fun all day🥰 The dogs are kept clean and it was wonderful! [Takasaki Pasta] A gourmet trip filled with hearty local cuisine in Japan's best pasta town Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, has one of the highest numbers of pasta restaurants per capita in the country. It is a town filled with love for pasta, with many famous restaurants within walking distance of JR Takasaki Station and an annual festival called "King of Pasta". The specialty of "Shango Toiyacho Main Store" is "Shango-style Spaghetti", a hearty dish of pork cutlet on a rich demi-glace sauce. #EnjoyJapan To Okawa Shokudo in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture 🚗 I was looking for a restaurant with a good rating on Tabelog in this area, but they all close early 💦 This restaurant seems to be open until 10pm, so I went there before 7pm and there were 4 groups waiting 😳 They had a system where you give your phone number and the restaurant will call you when you can enter. Everyone who was waiting seemed to be waiting in their cars. The phone rang after about 40 minutes and we were shown to our seats 💓 Everything on the menu is so cheap!!! 😳😳😳 I ordered a lot without knowing how much it would be, but the portions per plate were amazing!!! 👏🏻 Is this amount okay for this price? It's to the point where I was worried! 🤣 And in this era when rice is precious, the regular serving of rice is more than the normal large serving (lol) The large serving of rice was really like a manga (lol)🍚 It was too much and I couldn't finish it, but since they were giving out such precious rice, I didn't want to waste it, so I tried my best to eat as much as I could... I visited on a sunny afternoon, and it was alive with energy — families with picnics, kids flying kites, and couples on bikes weaving through pink-lined paths. I set up my camera by the small lake at the center of the park and caught a beautiful shot of the blossoms reflecting in the water. It’s not a huge park, but the layout makes it feel intimate and really accessible — winding paths, a river running through, and tons of sakura trees creating perfect little nooks for sitting and relaxing. I came on a weekday and joined some office workers on lunch break just soaking up the sun and petals. There’s a cute little bridge in the middle that gives great symmetry shots — I took a self-timer shot there for my #cherryblossom25 gallery and it felt like a postcard. The park is close to Maebashi Station, so it’s easy to pop in if you’re traveling through Gunma. It may not have the fame of the mega spots, but it had heart. Peaceful, charming, and totally local.
