Shikishima Park, Gunma

#cherryblossom25 Shikishima Park in Maebashi is the kind of place you go to feel like part of the community. It’s huge and sprawling, with big open lawns lined by over 1,000 cherry trees. I visited on a sunny afternoon, and it was alive with energy — families with picnics, kids flying kites, and couples on bikes weaving through pink-lined paths. I set up my camera by the small lake at the center of the park and caught a beautiful shot of the blossoms reflecting in the water. It had such a warm, homey vibe — very different from the more “Instagram-famous” spots. If you want to really feel the season the way locals do, this is it. I got some lovely interactions with people who were curious about #cherryblossom25 and ended up sharing mochi and stories under the trees. It's the kind of day that stays with you.
