Paris City Walk, Stay at Courtyard and Avoid Pitfalls!
Courtyard by Marriott Paris Gare de Lyon
📍 Address: 209 - 211 Rue de Bercy, Paris, France
🚉 From Gare de Lyon, it takes less than five minutes to walk to Courtyard by Marriott Paris Gare de Lyon. The hotel is quite tall and very conspicuous, so it's hard to miss. It is located in the center of Paris, with convenient transportation, and there are many subway and bus stations nearby. There is even an airport bus stop within a 2-minute walk, which is a big plus for those who need to catch a flight!
The hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes' walk from the subway and train stations, making it super convenient to visit major attractions. The hotel itself is very modern, with a simple yet stylish design. The front desk staff were very friendly at check-in. Although the lobby was a bit crowded, the service was excellent, and they even asked if I needed a shuttle service. The elevator requires a key card to confirm the floor, which I found cool and made me feel safe. Overall, I felt that every detail was convenient and thoughtful.
As for the room facilities, although I encountered some technical issues during my stay, such as the key card not being able to be set up on my phone and the Chrome Cast not working properly, the overall experience was still great. The room was spacious and bright, making me feel relaxed as soon as I entered. The bed was super comfortable, and the sheets were very clean. My favorite part was the view from the window, which was so beautiful that I didn't even feel like watching TV. I just wanted to lie in bed and enjoy the view. The bathroom was also spacious, but the only downside was that the water splashed out easily during showers, making the floor wet. However, this didn't affect my satisfaction with the room.
As for nearby recommendations, I have to mention the delicious restaurants and attractions nearby. There are several good restaurants around the hotel, such as Pizzeria Arrivederci, Chez Nicos, and Assanabel Paris, which foodies should not miss. In addition, the charming Pont Alexandre III is just a few minutes' walk away, and it's a must-visit for night photography. If you get hungry at night, don't worry, as there is a 24-hour mini supermarket downstairs where you can buy something to eat at any time, which is another thing I love.
In conclusion, Courtyard by Marriott Paris Gare de Lyon is a great choice, especially for a quick trip or for those who need to catch a train. If I come to Paris again, this will still be my first choice!
