The two Tang and Song ancient ships on display here are unique and precious cultural relics in Shanghai, and can be called the treasures of the town hall. The Zunjing Pavilion in the Academy used to be a place for collecting Confucian classics, and the Chongsheng Temple was a place to worship Confucius' parents. Now these two buildings are the exhibition halls of "Chongming Folk Customs". Here you can see the layout of the market town, folk family rooms, as well as various farming, textile tools, folk costumes and wax figures, reproducing the work and life scenes of the people of Chongming.
