It's Olympic time again! Hanging out with friends, enjoying some beer and skewers, and watching the games on a big screen - the atmosphere is fantastic! Chicago Logo Beer has a fruity aroma San Miguel Cerveza Negra, a caramel-scented dark beer with a smooth taste. Brooklyn IPA is refreshing with a bitter note, and the hop flavor is prominent. There are many types of skewers, and they are affordable. There's even a skewer platter that's a great deal! We ordered three platters. 🍢 Bird Platter: Chicken Skin and Cuttlefish Paste, Cheese Chicken Skewer, Chicken Cartilage Stick, Honey Chicken Wing 🍢 Pork Platter: Roast Suckling Pig, Lychee Pork Roll, Salt and Pepper Japanese Black Pork, Charcoal Grilled Pork Neck 🍢 Seafood Platter: Chicken Skin and Shrimp Paste, White Eel Skewer, Cheese Hokkaido Fish Cake, Grilled Fish Meat Siu Mai My favorite is the roast suckling pig, with its thin, crispy skin and fragrant, juicy meat! The chicken skin and cuttlefish paste is also delicious, with the chicken fat seeping into the cuttlefish paste, making it fresh and flavorful! Whole Hiroshima Oyster, topped with garlic and scallions, is fragrant but not greasy! There's also a skewer with three jumbo raw oysters, which is a great deal. Adding soy sauce makes it even fresher! The medium-rare lamb rack is the best, with a balance of tender meat and fat, and a slight gamey flavor that's excellent. Awaodori Chicken Liver Skewer, tender and sweet. Paper-thin Chicken Skin, held up by bamboo skewers, really looks like paper. It's dry and crispy with a light bite, very fragrant. Red Spotted Grouper Fillet, with chewy skin and firm, thick meat. The fresh fish flavor pairs well with the sauce. Grilled Pineapple The rich flavor of grilled food is best complemented by a serving of grilled pineapple, which is juicy and sweet, refreshing and cuts through the grease. Grilled Chives Sprinkled with cumin powder and grilled, the chives are slightly spicy and very tasty, with a fragrant and smooth texture. A friend invited me to meet at Old Lan, but as someone who doesn't drink much, I found this Chicago Skewer Bar that offers a variety of grilled skewers to eat. Here, they have everything from seafood, pork, beef, lamb, to vegetables, perfect for eating while drinking and chatting. Chicago Logo Beer $93 A friend ordered a signature beer from here, topped with a slice of dried pineapple. The beer had a malty taste with a hint of pineapple, not bitter at all, and very smooth. Signature Boneless Eel Skewers $58 We ordered two skewers; the eel was plump and tender, boneless, with a crispy skin. Salt-Grilled Shishamo $32 The shishamo came in a serving of four, each grilled to a crispy perfection, very flavorful. Garlic Grilled Fresh Abalone 3 pieces $82 The abalones were not very large but were fresh, with a sweet taste and a bouncy texture, and had a delicious buttery flavor. Cheese Grilled Hiroshima Oysters $32@ The Hiroshima oysters were quite large, perfectly grilled to burst with juice, sweet and creamy, especially with the added cheese. Garlic Cheese Half-Shell Scallops 2 pieces $60 The scallops were topped with a generous amount of cheese, very cheesy, with tender meat. Smoked Wagyu Beef Tongue $38 The beef tongue was extremely tender, with a smoky flavor that was not too strong but very aromatic. Premium Instant-Grilled Suckling Pig $68 Biting into it, you first taste the crispy skin, and the fat layer's oil had been rendered out, making it quite refreshing and sinfully good. Cheese Black Truffle Large Brown Mushrooms $45 The large brown mushrooms were tender, topped with cheese, bacon, and black truffle sauce, very rich in flavor. Signature Grilled Eggplant $42 The eggplant was very soft and flavorful with a garlic taste. Grilled Pineapple $26 The pineapple was sweet and juicy, with a tangy and sweet flavor, very appetizing.
