Tham Pla Buddhist Temple
🙏🙏
Wat Tham Pla or Wat Phutthasat Tham Pla is located in Ban Tham Pla, Village No. 14, Pong Pha Subdistrict, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province. Tham Pla is a small stream flowing out from under a limestone mountain, flowing through the mountain in several directions, and flowing out at the mouth of the cave on the east side. These streams originate from Huai Nia Waterfall.
"Tham Pla" is a large rock cavity deep in the mountain, below ground level, with clear, cool water flowing out all year round. In the past, there were many fish swimming in the pool at the mouth of the cave, called "Pla Puang Hin" or "Pla Phung". They are long and round, with scales along their bodies similar to snakehead fish, but dark blue in color, with blue stripes running along their sides. Their bodies are about a cubit long. There are also many beautiful fish, which are now extinct and almost gone. Currently, many people have brought beautiful fish to release here.
Wat Tham Pla is located in Ban Tham, Pong Pha Subdistrict, Mae Sai District, approximately 13 kilometers south of Mae Sai District. If coming from Chiang Rai, Wat Tham Pla will be on the left. #Worship
