Falling In Love at Cheonjiyeon
Getting There - Cheonjiyeon Falls are located within Seogwipo City. If using public transportation, i would recommend using bus #880. This is the tourist bus and stops right at the falls.
Attractions - Scenic waterfall surrounded by nature. Picturesque statues that are great for taking photos. A breath of fresh air.
Hotels - I would highly recommend The Mstay Hotel. It is a 10 minute walk to the falls. It was very comfortable.
Food & Restaurants - The falls are flanked by Chilsimni Food Street. There are an abundance of restaurants to choose from.
Shopping - The gift shop within the falls has really cute hand crafted items.

Cheonjiyeon Waterfalls in Jeju, Korea. Literally, Cheonjiyeon means “sky connected with land” and one of the main attractions in Jeju Island. Recommend to visit early in the morning during its opening hours (9am) to avoid huge number of tourist to enjoy picture taking and the beauty of the place.

🇰🇷 Stunning Three-tiered Waterfalls on Jeju Island
Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls is a stunning three-tiered waterfall located on Jeju Island in South Korea. Visiting all three waterfalls requires a short hike of about 2 km roundtrip. It took us about 50 minutes to complete the whole visit.
🌟 The 1st waterfall is located 200 meters from the entrance. Water typically only flows after heavy rainfall, cascading from a height of about 22 meters into a clear, deep pond.
🌟 The 2nd waterfall is about a 500-meter walk from the 1st waterfall. Here, the water falls another 30 meters into a small pool. In my opinion, this is the most beautiful of the three waterfalls.
🌟 The 3rd waterfall is another 1 km hike from the 2nd waterfall. It involves climbing a fair number of stairs, but the view is not as impressive as that of the 2nd waterfall. For those not physically fit, I think it is fine to skip the 3rd waterfall. This waterfall is about 21 meters high, and from here, the water flows into the ocean.
🌟 Tips for visiting:
There are no restrooms available inside the waterfall area, so it's better to use the restroom at the entrance before starting your visit.

A peaceful spot
#waterfalls
The cheonjiyeon waterfall was a very relaxing trip. I had rented a scooter to explore several nature spots in Jeju. This is a very clean and well maintained waterfall. The vicinity is so clean. I remember walking from the parking spot. Might be like 5-10 minutes. It is a shaded and green path. A well landscaped surrounding. It puts you at ease with a sense of nature all around. There is a bus stop too and i remember some tourists coming from there. Yet, for a weekend it wasn't crowded at all. Now, the waterfall is not the biggest but for me this afternoon, this was so peaceful to stop at. I stayed there for half an hour before leaving. Definitely worth a visit when you are in Jeju.

Cheonjiyeon Waterfall Jeju South Korea
Getting here was fairly easy. You can make use of a bus or a taxi but I suggest using a taxi as it took us just over 40 min coming from the north side of the island close to where the airport is located.
The waterfall was a sight to see though I left wanting more or expecting a greater experience. On our day of visiting, it was slightly cloudy and not windy creating a very calming atmosphere. Luckily there weren’t many visitors however I can see that this place can easily host a big crowd.
To enter, we had to pay 2000 KRW per person. You have the option to pay for your entry by either an electronic ticking machine or going to a manned ticketing booth right next to it.
We went in and came out in under 30 min, thus take some time exploring more of the town. The fishermen’s dock is also interesting to visit. We went for a walk and found a great coffee shop next to a place called 천지연크리스탈호텔.
Not far from the waterfall attraction, is another smaller island you can visit which also has a footpath around it. In some parts you can get quite close to the edge overlooking cliffs and seeing waves crashing.

Beautiful Waterfall in Jeju !!
#familytrips2024
One of the 3 famous waterfalls in Jeju, the beautiful Cheonjiyeon Waterfall is 22m high and 12m wide. 😘 As the name implies, Cheon (sky) and ji (land) and it refers to land meets sky!
The surrounding park and lakes at Cheonjiyeon Waterfall adds to the charm of this tourist attraction! There are also a lot of Jeju stone statues (tol harubang or grandfather stones) around the whole park.

Jeju Island Free Travel Guide in South Korea
🇰🇷Jeju Island Free Travel Guide in South Korea
Before coming to this island, the preparation was too exhausting, even more so than my previous trip to Europe. So here are some suggestions, hoping to help everyone
⏰Travel Time: 5 days and 4 nights
🎒Travel Preparation: Bus card, data SIM card, clothes, toiletries, medicines, disinfectants, adapter plug, charger, power bank, umbrella, 1 million in cash, cardless (be sure to bring sunscreen! Otherwise, you'll turn into a 'black egg' and get sunburned)
🛤️Visited Attractions: Udo Island, Seongsan Ilchulbong, Jeonnong-ro, Yongduam Rock, Baojian Road Pedestrian Street, Rainbow Road, Jeongbang Waterfall, Submarine Tour, Jusangjeolli Cliff, Cheonjiyeon Waterfall, Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market
🥯Food: bhc fried chicken, Matured Hanwoo Beef, zzz Jeju Black Pork, Memory House, Orange Cafe, Udo Island light coffee shop, Starbucks limited edition, Wooku Heaven (Seaside black pork buffet)
🤩Attraction Experience: Udo Island (worth visiting, very beautiful, photogenic), Seongsan Ilchulbong (worth a visit, nice scenery), Jeonnong-ro (not necessary), Yongduam Rock (just a rock, looks like a dragon's head) Baojian Road Pedestrian Street (sparse and empty), Rainbow Road (beautiful, photogenic), Jeongbang Waterfall (small), Submarine Tour (quite novel, diver attracts fish, short duration), Jusangjeolli Cliff (strange and interesting), Cheonjiyeon Waterfall (small), Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market (worth a visit, there's a shop selling orange daifuku that tastes good)
🥩Food Experience: bhc fried chicken (pretty good, but ordered too much, ended up feeling sick), Matured Hanwoo Beef (delicious, but personally prefer 😘), Jeju Black Pork (delicious), Memory House (very fresh, abalones wriggling in the pot, alive. The lady boss and waitress are nice and humorous), Orange Cafe (relaxing in the orange garden, but there are few oranges left), Udo Island light coffee shop (the scenery is amazing, absolutely amazing), Starbucks limited edition, Wooku Heaven (Seaside black pork buffet) (the scenery is amazing, very romantic, meat is normal)
This trip was a pure free travel, all by bus and taxi, and you can feel that the attractions are very scattered. So whether to travel freely or join a tour depends on the person, and the island accepts cash payments.
From Jeju to Seogwipo, take bus 600, and press stop in advance. For taxis, there is an option to pay cash in the app, some maps are very inaccurate, try to combine and see.
⚠️For two people, 5 days and 4 nights, excluding airfare, hotel, and other preparations. 1 million was just enough to spend, for your reference.
The travel experience in Jeju Island is very good, and there's no need to worry about language issues. Upon returning to the country, you still need to do a nucleic acid test, which can be booked in advance or on-site (when arriving domestically, go straight from gate 3 to find the nucleic acid test site)

Jeju Island Attractions - Cheonjiyeon Waterfall
The white column of water that falls from the strange cliffs with the sound of thunder is the Cheonjiyeon Waterfall. Heaven and earth want to touch each other, so it is called Cheonjiyeon. The waterfall, which is twenty-two meters high and twelve meters wide, roars loudly towards the cliff below, which is indeed admirable. The natural monument No. 163, Danba tree, grows here, and temperate plants such as pine leaf blue, mountain pomelo, and camellia have become forests. It is especially known as the habitat of the natural monument (Wutai Changyu) that is active at night. The Seventy Li Festival is held every September.
The three-stage waterfall that pours down in the dense temperate forest is spectacular. After the first waterfall falls into a pond with a depth of 21m, it flows through the 2nd and 3rd waterfalls until it flows into the sea. Especially on the top of the rock cave on the east side of the cliff where the first waterfall flows down, there is cold water that makes your teeth chill. In ancient times, it was said that bathing in this water during the Yuan and Dog Days could cure all diseases, attracting many people, but swimming is now prohibited. Eels live in the lake, because they like to be active at night, so they can only be watched at night. When night falls, the lights are on (Cheonjiyeon Waterfall is equipped with lighting equipment for easy viewing of eels at night).
In the temperate forest around Cheonjiyeon, there is a plant that is quite rare in Jeju Island - pine needle orchid, as well as Danba tree, long-tailed pointed leaf zelkova, mountain pomelo, white new ginger, evergreen species, Sen's poplar, holly and other evergreen trees, and rough leaf trees, poplar and other mixed forests. There are many vine plants such as wind vine, oleander, southern schisandra, creeping fig, etc., and there are also purple gold ox wood, amphibious plants such as stone fern, trident leaf stone fern, tile reed, pine for thousands of years, etc. The growth is dense and retains the appearance of the original forest. The Danba tree on the west side of the first waterfall is designated as the local monument No. 14 from the perspective of plant geography due to its high academic value. Cheonjiyeon Waterfall is a part of the Hanla Mountain Nature Reserve, and there are more than 20 Danba trees growing naturally inside.

fairy bridge at seogwipo si
A lovely twenty hike at seogwipo si to see the hand crafted seashell bridge done by the artisans in south korea. Walked a further 10 minutes to be greeted to a 15 metres high waterfall. Do note that there’s an entrance fee of few dollars to enter the well maintained area with clean facilities and amenities. carpark slots are aplenty for anyone who are driving to the site.

Chill by the waterfall
Cafe 1950 is a quiet cafe that is hidden within an ancient palace of sorts, The cafe in Korea is rather unique as they only focus on drinks and pastries. Stripping down on what a cafe was meant to be.
Cafe 1950 is located all around the many attractions of the Jeju Island like the Teddy Bear Museum, the iconic UNESCO world famous Cheonjeyeon waterfall and the chocolate factory, definitely a good place to chill after all that walking

Not far from Seogwipo Port in Jeju Island, along the trail along the edge of the forest, you can see the waterfall descending from the steep rock wall at the end of the waterfall. The waterfall is 22 meters high and 12 meters wide. Of course, there is no way to compare with Huangguoshu Waterfall, but it is a rare sight in South Korea.
Actually, the Tiandiyuan Waterfall is not just a waterfall, but a three-stage waterfall. Of course, the first waterfall with a drop of more than 20 meters is the most spectacular. After passing through the waterfalls in the 2nd and 3rd sections, the meandering water will flow into the vast Pacific Ocean in Seogwipo.
ZIMO.
Tiandiyuan is the most famous natural landscape in the Chinese tourist area. It literally means the land of the emperor. It is named after the seven-fairy fairy of the legendary Yuhong Emperor. The waterfall is divided into three sections. The first section of the waterfall (22m high and 21m deep) flows down from the top of the east rock cave. The second and third waterfalls are formed by the stone barrier and eventually flow into the sea. Above the Pentium's waterfall is an arched bridge with statues of seven fairies serving the Emperor.
This is also the location for the love and separation scenes of the heroes and heroines in Dae Jang Geum. On the outer wall of the Tiandi Building in the Valley, there are fairy figures and fairy figures depicting the legends of the Emperor. In addition, there is also the Xianlin Bridge, which is engraved with the Seven Fairies. If you cast copper coins into the statue pocket of Wufuquan, you are said to be blessed.
