Historic buildings
The Temple of Zhou Sa was built during the reign of Soyavaman II in the early 12th century AD. The Tomanon Temple, which is 170 meters away from its north side, was built in the same period, and the architectural layout and structural form of the two are exactly the same. But why the two groups of buildings were built is unclear. It was only in the late 19th century that when the French officer in Cambodia Diko discovered this group of buildings, he learned from the local population that the temple was dedicated to the god ChauSay, so the French named it ChauSay Temple (ChauSay Tevoda). ). Going due east from the main passage starting from the palace, you will see two small monasteries of about the same size on the north and south sides of the road, echoing each other on both sides. On the north side, on the south side is the Temple of Zhou Sa. The two small monasteries are buildings of the same period, and they are both flat-level monasteries. There are a large number of reliefs of the goddess Tibat in the Temple of Zhousa, among which the goddess in vermilion paint existed at the time of its construction. Although the Temple of Zhou Sa is small, it deserves special attention from Chinese tourists; it is maintained by a Chinese team. After years of hard work by the Chinese team, its condition has improved to the level of its sister temple, the Temple of Tomanon.
