Plymouth: A Charming British Seaside City
Plymouth, located on the southwest coast of England, is a picturesque city with stunning scenery.
Plymouth Bay is vast and boundless, with blue waters shimmering in the sunlight. The waves rhythmically lap against the shore, creating an eternal melody for the city. The cliffs along the bay stand like steadfast guardians, weathered by the elements and exuding a sense of history.
Stroll along the seaside promenade, where the sea breeze gently caresses your face, carrying the slightly salty scent of the ocean. In the distance, sailboats dot the horizon, gliding through the blue sea and sky like agile seabirds soaring freely.
The Barbican is full of maritime charm. The colorful old buildings and narrow winding streets seem to transport you back in time. The harbor is filled with boats gently swaying with the waves. The waterfront is lined with seafood restaurants, where the aroma of freshly caught seafood is irresistible. While enjoying the delicious food, you can also take in the breathtaking sea views. Here, history and nature blend perfectly, and every scene tells the unique story of Plymouth, leaving visitors enchanted.

Plymouth is a seaside city in the UK
Today I want to introduce you to Plymouth, Plymouth is located in the southwest of England. The location is remote, otherwise I wouldn't go there specifically to find friends.
I took the coach from Birmingham for 5 hours or so😂 I had to change trains in Bristol on the way. The coaches in the UK have toilets, so you don't have to worry about having to go to the toilet for long distances. It will be faster if you take the train, but it is more expensive than the train.
Plymouth is most famous for the lighthouse in the picture. And the lighthouse at night is very eclipsed, nothing special.
Go left or right along the lighthouse, there are many different restaurants and bars. Overall, if you will be passing by or going to find friends, I would recommend stopping by Plymouth for a walk. But if you make a special trip you can't 😂

A night at the Leonardo Hotel Plymouth 🇬🇧
I recently came back from a trip to France and arrived on the ferry into Plymouth needing a hotel for a night , I’d heard about Leonardo Hotels before but had never stayed in one , so I decided to book a night and see what the experience would be like .
Set on the A374 road on the approach into the city centre , this down to earth budget hotel is a 12 minute walk from the National Marine Aquarium and 8 miles from Dartmoor Zoo.
The simple, contemporary rooms feature the signature Leonardo Dream bed, en- suite bathrooms equipped with toiletries , free WiFi, flat screen TVs and desks , as well as tea and coffee making facilities, some also have sofabeds .
Access to an adjacent gym is included and there is also a casual restaurant and bar.
Breakfast is available for an additional fee, and check in and out times are 15.00/11.00.
I found the rooms very modern and clean, staff at reception very helpful ,and the location of the hotel was great being right in the heart of the city centre of Plymouth, also the price for the room was excellent, it’s more of a high end budget hotel to be honest , and I would stay here again if I was ever in Plymouth 👌👍🏼

The Journey: A Historic Ferry Crossing and Unexpected Powder days!
Boarded the Normandie ferry at Portsmouth for its 11:30pm departure – a bittersweet moment as this was actually her final voyage after 35 years of service! We raised a glass to this faithful vessel that's carried so many Alpine adventures over the decades. Slept soundly in our cabin (absolute must for the overnight crossing) and woke up in Caen at 5:45am French time, ready for the road ahead.
The 12-hour drive through France remains one of my favorite parts of these trips. Something magical about watching the landscape transform from French countryside to Alpine peaks that never gets old, even on my fourth visit.
Arrived to an unusually warm Easter in Tignes, but the weather gods smiled on us with a massive snowfall just before our first ski day on April 19th. Talk about perfect timing! With the season winding down, we're enjoying practically empty slopes and zero lift lines – the best-kept secret of late-season skiing.
The free bus service makes getting around effortlessly easy, and I'm still here for another week exploring my favorite resort. With 360° views of pristine Alpine landscape and the massive Espace Killy ski area connecting to Val d'Isère, there's always new terrain to discover even after multiple visits.
It’s a late season snow jackpot with what a stroke of luck with the conditions this late in the season! That heavy snowfall right before our first ski day created perfect powder conditions when most April visitors expect slushy spring skiing. With fewer people around, those fresh tracks lasted longer too. The experienced skiers in our group couldn't believe our timing - pristine April powder with the space to enjoy it properly!
The best part? I'm only halfway through my stay! Still have another week to enjoy these perfect late-season conditions. Will be posting more photos and updates as the adventure continues.

Plymouth Airbnb
I booked an Airbnb in Plymouth near the central park and football field. The environment is very quiet, the decoration is very good, and the facilities are complete and comfortable. You can walk to the central park, which is very pleasant.

Plymouth
Lovely people all around, the grass is so green! And the skies are ridiculously blue and the winds are so strong. Its wonderful to be around. This place was nearby smeaton's tower and we got the chance to go up the tower! It was so scary, it was nearly 300 meters high! Omg it was scared to nothingness. It was kinda winding....it had a small museum inside as well!! Its very nice

It was a clean and good value stay
There was a large public bath so I was able to relax. The breakfast buffet was very filling. I had dinner at a Chinese restaurant nearby.

GWR at Christmas
Plymouth to Paddington is always an interesting trip. Rarely on time and usually a forest of luggage in the aisles Ellis it was no surprise to find that there was no at C catering for the entire journey. That said the Christmas spirit prevailed and myself and my daughter had a lot of very fun chats with people returning off their holidays and we were lucky enough to get a complimentary water and coffee in first class - just don’t tell anyone

Plymouth: A Fusion of History and Nature
The scenery of Plymouth is a perfect fusion of history and nature. The ancient castle ruins in the city tell of the wars of the past, and the mottled city walls are covered with vines of time. Standing on the castle and looking down, the whole city and the vast sea are in full view.
The parks in the city are full of green trees and flowers. The ancient trees stand tall, shading people from the sun, and the lawn under the trees is like a green carpet, where children play and laugh. The clear stream flows through the park, passing through the small stone bridge, making a crisp sound of running water. Not far away is the vast Atlantic Ocean. Seabirds soar in the sky, sometimes diving into the sea to catch fish and shrimp. Plymouth Point is a must-see place, where the rocks have been shaped by the long-term erosion of the sea water, some like giant turtles, some like eagles with wings spread. Here, you can feel the weight of history and be intoxicated by the beauty of nature. Plymouth is like a vivid picture book, with every page full of stories and customs.
