Traveling from Tokyo to Morioka, a town in Iwate Prefecture in the Tohoku region, this is my second visit to Morioka. The first time was in spring, to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom at Kitakami. This time, also in spring, I came to see the Dragon Eye at Hachimantai in Akita Prefecture. Since I'm staying overnight, I must take a stroll around the town, stopping by Morioka Hachimangu Shrine, the town's important temple, to pray for good fortune.
