#newyearnewtrip This year, Chinese New Year celebrations started early for my family, as we had our reunion dinner the weekend before the eve. Once again, we returned to Canton Paradise, a spot that never disappoints. If you’re a fan of savory dishes, this place is definitely worth a visit. There’s a good reason why my family chose to come back here after last year’s CNY dinner. One thing I appreciated was how they took our feedback into account—last year, we mentioned the menu had too much meat. This year, it was much more balanced, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Here are some highlights from the dinner: their signature roast duck, the fierce-looking tiger spot fish, and the adorable orange buns that added a playful touch to the feast. It was a great way to kick off the CNY festivities with family!

The paradise group is a Singapore company which owns many different f&b concept. One of their store is the canton paradise which specialised in Cantonese cuisines. The store offers dim sum, traditional hong kong congee, roasted meat and noodles. Personally, I like their roasted meat but find their price a little pricy for the portion of meat given. A must order for me in their salted egg bun aka "liu san bao". Their bun is shaped in a piggy cartoon and I cannot resist them just because they look cute. One of the recommended dish is their XO stir fried carrot cake. It's stir fried with xo sauce, along with beanspourts, spring onions and eggs. Must try!
