Hilton Garden Inn Hangzhou West Lake | Real Guest Reviews
| Real Guest Reviews. Hey guys, today I'm going to share my experience staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Hangzhou West Lake 🎉.
The hotel is located at No. 2 Guohuo Road, Shangcheng District, Hangzhou. The location is very convenient, just a 10-minute walk from West Lake, perfect for tourists 🤩. It's about a 30-minute ride from Hangzhou East Railway Station by subway or taxi 🚇.
I had a bit of a price "rollercoaster" when booking this time. I booked a basic room for CNY 912 per night a few days ago, then found the price dropped to CNY 870, so I canceled and rebooked. The price dropped again, so after several cancellations and bookings, I finally got it for around CNY 760 😄.
When I arrived at the hotel by taxi, I couldn't find the main entrance at first. I only found it when I saw someone coming out of the door. The entrance is really low-key. As soon as I entered the hotel, I was greeted by the cool lighting and nightclub-style decor, which was quite unique 😎. I used my Hilton Diamond Card to upgrade to a deluxe lake view room. However, the lake view was just a small area outside the window and the Baoshu Pagoda on Baoshi Mountain in the distance, but it was still nice.
My room was 1111, which I think is perfect for singles. The bathroom is on the right when you enter the room, and there's a large shower area with a bathtub in front. The bedding is nice, and the black and gray duvet cover is unique. The toiletries are from the Thank You brand, in large bottles, and they smell nice. You can also ask the room service staff for small bottles 🧴. When I checked in, the front desk staff gave me branded socks and an eye mask, which was thoughtful. However, they didn't mention the welcome drink voucher, but I don't drink alcohol, so it didn't matter. The welcome fruit was simple, with bananas, apples, and cherry tomatoes, which I thought was okay.
However, there were some minor drawbacks. I wanted to take a bath, but the hot water was too slow, and the water temperature was still low after a few minutes, so I gave up 😔. Breakfast is on the first floor and is semi-buffet style. The wontons and noodles were good, and with the other self-serve food, I was full. However, the fried egg I ordered didn't arrive until I finished eating and was about to leave, which was a bit slow.
As for other aspects, the hotel's overall style is more suitable for young people, and the service is average. Some guests said they stayed for three nights, with an average price of CNY 1,000 per night, and felt the room layout was like a budget hotel, with a smell of renovation. The hotel lighting is dim, especially on rainy days, which feels depressing. The elevator is slow, and there's a queue for breakfast. There are few restaurant staff, and ordering and serving are slow, with few dishes and untimely replenishment in the buffet area. The deposit is not refunded to the original payment method, and it's noisy at night, which is a bit annoying 😣.
However, the hotel's facilities are a plus, such as the Dyson hairdryer, smart toilet, nice sound system, and smart sensor makeup mirror. Overall, the cost performance is not high. If you can stay for one night for around CNY 760, it's worth a try, but I wouldn't consider staying long-term. You can choose according to your needs and budget 🤗.
