One of my favorite gardens in Suzhou | Canglang Pavilion
Visiting Suzhou during holidays really means a lot of people, so we didn't go to those popular gardens, and finally chose Canglang Pavilion. Although many people say it is a niche garden, as one of the oldest gardens in Suzhou, its architectural features are very representative and worth a visit! Moreover, the ticket price for Canglang Pavilion is really cheap, only 💰15 yuan to appreciate the beauty of Suzhou's gardens.
If you have ever read Shen Fu's 'Six Records of a Floating Life', then you must visit Canglang Pavilion in Suzhou to see the story of Shen Fu and his beloved wife Yunniang, who spent a very happy time here~
📝Key spots to check in:
Fu Lang: The Fu Lang on the north side runs along the water, while the Fu Lang on the south side is backed by the mountain, which is very characteristic.
Leak Window: The leak windows of Canglang Pavilion are really distinctive, with a total of 108 styles, and no two patterns are the same, which I really like!
There are also many bamboos inside Canglang Pavilion, which cast dancing shadows on sunny days and also have a great atmosphere on rainy days~
You must visit Canglang Pavilion when you come to Suzhou, where you can feel that time really slows down🥰
📍Canglang Pavilion
🎫Peak season (March to October): 💰20/Off-season 💰15
Opposite is Keyuan, which can also be arranged for a visit~

🍜 Tired from walking? How can you miss out on tasting authentic local cuisine? Suzhou-style noodles, sweet and sour spare ribs, squirrel fish slices... the garden's restaurants have it all. Don't forget the fruit stalls by the road, with fresh loquats, peaches, and plums to quench your thirst. 🍉

The Late Spring at Canglang Pavilion
During the Grain Rain season, Canglang Pavilion is brimming with greenery. Although I missed the orchid exhibition, I can still enjoy one or two blossoms at the entrance and the main hall. The colorful azaleas add a lot of vitality to the ancient garden, while the wisteria outside the window perfectly blends with the ancient architecture. There are also sweet-scented osmanthus flowers complementing the rockeries, pavilions, and riverside. Despite the cloudy and rainy days, walking in the misty Canglang Pavilion has its own poetic charm!

The waters of Canglang are clear
The beauty of Canglang Pavilion lies not in its grandeur, but in its restraint and elegance. Stepping into the garden, one feels as if they are in a landscape painting. Stone bridges, winding paths, pavilions, and towers, every detail is meticulously designed, and every scene has its unique charm. The fish in the pond swim freely, either in groups or alone, seemingly attracted by the garden's tranquility and harmony.

🌟Highlights:
1. The pavilion stands on the mountain, lofty and spacious, with stone columns and flying eaves, ancient and magnificent. The old trees on the mountain are lush and dripping with greenery. The stone paths and slanting corridors on both sides emerge from among the bamboo, banana trees, and shade, with the curved corridor beside the mountain following the waves, offering places to lean and rest. Ascending to the heart of the pavilion, one can overlook the entire garden, and in the past, one could gaze at the fields and villages of the South Garden, with a view that extends for miles. The ripples outside the garden reflect the mountain pavilion, and the stone carvings on the pavilion pillars are uniquely exquisite, with the stone chessboard inside said to be a relic of the poet Su Shi.
2. Mianshui Xuan, originally called 'Guanyu Chu' (Place for Watching Fish), was renamed 'Mianshui Xuan' after the renovation by Governor Zhang Shusheng in the twelfth year of the Tongzhi era, drawing from the Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu's verse 'All the layered pavilions face the water, the old trees have endured frost' hence the name. This pavilion faces north to the flowing water, with ancient trees in front of the courtyard intermingling. To the left of the pavilion, a winding corridor extends eastward, accessible from both sides, borrowing scenery from inside and outside, welcoming visitors across the water. It is said that there used to be exquisite lake stones along the river, resembling the images of five hundred Arhats.
3. Qingshang Pavilion, also known as 'Osmanthus Pavilion,' was named by Han Shizhong during the early Shaoxing period of the Southern Song Dynasty. It follows the Tang Dynasty poet Li Shangyin's verse 'Do not let the fragrance escape in earnest care, tightly lock the golden fish among the osmanthus bushes,' hence the name. In front of the pavilion, a leaky window in a whitewashed wall forms a courtyard, with several osmanthus trees planted within.

World Cultural Heritage - 'Canglang Pavilion'
Canglang Pavilion is the oldest garden in Suzhou, built during the Qingli period of the Northern Song Dynasty. It is listed as one of Suzhou's four major gardens from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, along with the Lion Grove Garden, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Lingering Garden. Its name comes from the former owner Su Shunqin, who built a pavilion in the garden and was inspired by the saying, 'The clear waters of Canglang are fit to wash my tassel; the murky waters of Canglang are fit to wash my feet,' thus naming it Canglang Pavilion and calling himself the Old Man of Canglang, hence the garden's name.
🧡The garden's main scenery is its rockery, with a soil mountain facing the entrance and the Canglang Stone Pavilion situated on top. Below the mountain, a pond is excavated, and a winding covered corridor connects the landscape of mountains and water. The long corridor's walls are inlaid with various types of lattice windows, totaling 108 patterns, including fan-shaped, pomegranate-shaped, autumn leaf-shaped, peach-shaped, and other assorted designs, as well as rare patterns like tortoise shell and cloud dragon motifs.
💛The Mingdao Hall in the southeast part of the rockery is the main building of the garden. There are also other buildings and landscapes such as the Facing Water Pavilion, Five Hundred Sages Shrine, Mountain Viewing Tower, Cui Linglong Pavilion, Yangzhi Pavilion, Yinxin Stone House, and Imperial Stele Pavilion. It is recommended to choose a sunny afternoon to avoid the crowds, wander through Canglang Pavilion, and seek out the mottled light and shadows and the swaying bamboo groves.

Spring arrives in Suzhou | Canglang Pavilion (1587)
| Canglang Pavilion (1587). Canglang Pavilion, located in the south of Suzhou city, is the oldest garden in Suzhou, originally built during the Qingli period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1041-1048), and in the early Southern Song Dynasty (early 12th century) it was the residence of the famous general Han Shizhong. The garden art of Canglang Pavilion is unique, with a pool of green water set outside the garden gate before one enters. The main landscape inside the garden is rockery, with a man-made hill facing the entrance, and the Canglang Stone Pavilion is situated on top of it. Below the hill, a water pond is excavated, and a winding covered corridor connects the mountains and waters. Mingdao Hall, located in the southeast part of the rockery, is the main building of the garden, and it is complemented by other structures such as the Five Hundred Sages Shrine, Kanshan Tower, Cuilinglong Pavilion, Yangzhi Pavilion, and the Imperial Stele Pavilion.
Canglang Pavilion, along with Lion Grove Garden, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Lingering Garden, is listed as one of Suzhou's four major gardens from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. In addition to the Canglang Pavilion itself, the garden also features the Yinxin Stone House, Mingdao Hall, Kanshan Tower, and other buildings and landscapes.
In 2000, as part of the 'Suzhou Classical Gardens Supplementary Project' to the 'World Cultural Heritage', it was inscribed on the 'World Heritage List' by UNESCO, and in 2006, it was listed as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council.

The Canglang Pavilion is the oldest garden in Suzhou, built during the Qingli period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1041-1048). Unlike other gardens where water is within the garden, this one is a garden within water, requiring crossing a stone bridge to enter.
👌🏻Tour Route
Main Gate (facing north)—Yubei Pavilion—Qingxiang Pavilion—Five Hundred Sages Shrine—Cuilinglong—Kanshan Tower—Yaohua Boundary—Mingdao Hall—Canglang Pavilion—Mianshui Pavilion—Exit (same as entrance) to visit Keyuan across the street.
❶Cuilinglong: The 'elegant bamboo' and 'secluded orchids' of the Canglang Pavilion are very famous. This is a building themed around bamboo, named for the idea 'Autumn hues enter the forest, dimming the red; sunlight pierces through the bamboo, creating a delicate and clear effect.' Here, thousands of bamboo stalks sway in the air, forming a forest of bamboo. With the white walls and bamboo shadows, the green drips evenly and is a place for elegant wandering and quiet contemplation. There are more than 20 varieties of bamboo in the garden.
❷Kanshan Tower: Named for the phrase 'Guests return to seek wine, silently lying down to gaze at the mountains,' it was once possible to see the Qizi and Lingyan mountains and Tianping from here. Now it is surrounded by tall buildings, but one can still see into the distance from a height.
❸Canglang Pavilion: The couplet 'The breeze and the moon are priceless, the nearby water and distant mountains all have affection' perfectly captures the essence of the Canglang Pavilion. The pavilion stands on a mountain ridge, with stone pillars and flying eaves, ancient and magnificent. The old trees on the mountain are lush and dripping with green.
❹Mingdao Hall: The main hall of the garden, formerly used for lectures, is named for the idea 'Observing and listening without malice, thus the path becomes clear.' The main structure of the hall is made of brick and wood, open on all sides, grand and solemn.
The most noteworthy aspect of this garden is its landscaping techniques.
✔Covered Corridor: The corridor surrounds the garden, with water on three sides, historically known as Fengxi. The covered corridor organically connects the landscapes inside and outside the garden, creating an effect where the mountains and water borrow scenery from each other. It also compensates for the lack of water in the garden, expands the visual space for visitors, enriches the content of the scenery, and forms a unique open layout.
The covered corridor of Canglang Pavilion is also known as one of the three famous corridors of classical gardens in Suzhou.
✔Leak Windows: There are 108 kinds of various leak windows in the garden, each with a different shape. Most are square or polygonal, but there are also shapes like vases, pomegranates, ruyi, and more. Their main purpose is to create an effect of 'a different view with each step,' 'changing scenery with every move.' Through the leak windows, the scenery seems separated yet not, hidden yet visible.
✔Borrowed Scenery: The scenery outside the Canglang Pavilion arises from the water, with the garden gate opening to the north, a stone bridge in front, and a pool of water stretching from west to east. The layout inside the garden is centered around a mountain, with yellow rocks at the entrance and ancient trees planted on the artificial mountain.
Most buildings are arranged around the mountain and connected by long corridors. The pavilions built by the pond are connected by the corridor, and the more than 100 different patterned leak windows on the corridor allow for viewing on both sides, naturally blending the water outside the garden with the mountains inside. It is a model of borrowed scenery.

Canglang Pavilion~My favorite Suzhou-style garden~It is also the oldest existing garden in Suzhou
Canglang Pavilion is a World Cultural Heritage site, located at No. 3 Canglang Pavilion Street, Sanyuanfang, south of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It is a classical Chinese garden architecture of the Han nationality that was first built during the Qingli period of the Northern Song Dynasty. Originally a private garden of the literati Su Shunqin, it covers an area of 1.08 hectares and is the most ancient garden among the existing gardens in Suzhou. After Su Shunqin acquired the garden, he built the Canglang Pavilion by the water in 1045 and wrote 'Record of the Canglang Pavilion,' which made the garden's name well-known. In the early years of the Southern Song Dynasty's Shaoxing period, the Canglang Pavilion was acquired by Han Shizhong, a famous general who resisted the Jin Dynasty, and was renamed 'Han Garden.' In the tenth year of the Xianfeng era (1860), the Canglang Pavilion was destroyed in a military fire. After the fire, Zhang Shusheng rebuilt the Canglang Pavilion with the help of Wu You.
Located within Sanyuanfang in the south of Suzhou City, it is the oldest famous garden in Suzhou, built by the Song Dynasty poet Su Zimei. The art of garden-making at Canglang Pavilion is extraordinary. Before entering the garden, there is already a green water encircling and willows swaying in the wind. Leaning on the railing by the bank, the rugged rocks and winding covered corridors integrate the inside and outside of the garden through the windows. The garden is dominated by a mountain with ancient trees reaching the sky, and the famous Canglang Pavilion is hidden on the top of the mountain. The Mingdao Hall to the south is the largest building in the garden, with three Song Dynasty stone inscriptions hanging on the wall, which are the Astronomical Chart, Song Territory Map, and Song Pingjiang Map (Suzhou City Map); the Five Hundred Sages Shrine has more than five hundred stone reliefs of figures related to the history of Suzhou embedded within. In the southwest of the garden, there is an artificial mountain cave named Yinxin Stone House; on the mountain, there is a small building called Kanshan Tower, from which one can enjoy the scenery of Suzhou from afar.

The gentle breeze and the bright moon are priceless, and the proximity to water and the distance of mountains are all filled with affection
I used to think that the life of an ancient lady must have been quite boring,
unable to go out and play all day, nor watch TV,
and without the ability to use mobile phones or play games.
Where did their pleasure come from, could it just be from looking at flowers?
It is indeed from looking at flowers and plants, this kind of ultimate romance.
The enjoyment of the ancients is something we can't fully comprehend.
Pushing open the door, there is a plum tree in full bloom; the garden has flowers in all four seasons.
Camellias also have the 'Eighteen Scholars,' and plum blossoms are even more elegantly beautiful.
The pink plum of the Canglang Pavilion, you can see it as soon as you open the door.
It's simply too beautiful; previously it was the winter plum,
and now it's this one. If I were an ancient person, I wouldn't want to go out either.
I would just stroll and walk around in the courtyard, and that would be enough.
This light and shadow, every blade of grass and tree, is a beautiful scene.
The gentle breeze and the bright moon are priceless, and the proximity to water and the distance of mountains are all filled with affection.
Gracefully standing by the shore of Taihu Lake, calmly gazing at the Dongting Mountain,
where fish and dragons hide, and the mist deeply locks the vast expanse in between.
Looking at such beautiful scenery, how can one not compose a line of poetry or verse?

Canglang Pavilion in Suzhou | Unwilling to compete with the bright winter snow, it bestows its unique beauty and lingering fragrance to solitude
Jade plum trees quietly bloom, with endless subtle fragrance rolling in.
Auspicious snow flutters and dances in the southern garden, as a pot of aged wine intoxicates the terrace.
Photos were taken in early January at Canglang Pavilion,
a very niche garden in Suzhou, where the wintersweet flowers bloom, filling the garden with a floating, hidden fragrance,
anticipating the arrival of spring.

A niche attraction that wins with its rockery gardens - Canglang Pavilion
Scenery not to be missed at Canglang Pavilion
The surrounding cloister
It connects the inner and outer landscapes with water outside and mountains inside, offering a broad view, which is very unique.
2108 styles of lattice windows
There are so many lattice window designs, including flowers, animals, geometric shapes, seasonal themes, etc., which make one admire the ancient aesthetics.
The bamboo grove inside the Canglang Pavilion covers a large area and includes various species such as golden bamboo, purple bamboo, and Arhat bamboo. It's really beautiful when it's lit up! It's also my favorite part.
Canglang Pavilion and its rockery
Named after the pavilion, the rockery is right in front of the entrance. The pavilion stands on the rockery, surrounded by green plants, exuding a leisurely and elegant charm.

The place where the ancients read is so elegant, the plum blossoms of the Canglang Pavilion tell you
The Wénmiàoxiāng Room of Canglang Pavilion,
taken from Du Fu's poem 'The lamp shadow shines without sleep, must be clear and smell the wonderful fragrance',
was originally the place where the garden owner read.
·
Here, with the fragrance of cold plum, quiet orchid, and clear bamboo,
a secluded and quiet realm is created,
complemented by the color of banana,
the worldly dust is instantly clean,
and the worldly thoughts are instantly gone.

it is unimaginable how elegant it is to read here.

Not all Suzhou gardens are called Canglang Pavilion!|||
|||.🏯There are many gardens in Suzhou, but the one I want to visit at first glance is still Canglang Pavilion, full of chivalry and the poetic charm of the south of the Yangtze River!
🎠Su Shunqin was wronged and demoted, spent forty thousand money to buy this deserted garden, built this pavilion to retire, accompanied by the moon, relying on plants, although he is a literati but after frustration also shows free and easy. And the Canglang Pavilion he built is different from other garden landscapes, before entering the gate you can see the stream surrounding the whole garden, entering the garden you are greeted by a mountain view🏯, the mountain and water are connected by a complex corridor, full of poetic and picturesque!🏕️
📸Reasons to recommend Canglang Pavilion in winter:
1️⃣Missed the blooming flowers in Suzhou gardens in spring, the drizzle in summer, the falling leaves in autumn, most people think there is nothing to see in winter, but Canglang Pavilion has a more than two hundred years old beauty tea, competing with plum blossoms, only in winter can you see its style
2️⃣Canglang Pavilion has less traffic compared to Zhuozheng Garden, Liuyuan, Wangshi Garden, you can enjoy the classical elegance of Suzhou gardens
3️⃣The garden art of Canglang Pavilion is different from other gardens, one step one window, one window one scene, very suitable for taking pictures

Suzhou Canglang Pavilion
The Canglang Pavilion, along with the Lion Grove, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Lingering Garden, is listed as one of the four major gardens of the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties in Suzhou. In addition to the Canglang Pavilion itself, the garden also houses the Yinxin Stone House, Mingdao Hall, Kanshan Tower and other buildings and landscapes. It is the oldest garden in Suzhou, built during the Qingli period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1041-1048 AD), and was the residence of the famous general Han Shizhong in the early Southern Song Dynasty (early 12th century AD). The garden art of Canglang Pavilion is unique, with a pool of green water set outside the garden before entering the gate. The main scenery in the garden is the rocks, with a soil mountain facing it, and the Canglang Stone Pavilion is located on it. There is a water pool carved under the mountain, and a winding corridor connects the mountains and waters. The Mingdao Hall in the southeast of the rockery is the main building of the garden. In addition, there are other buildings such as the Five Hundred Scholars' Shrine, Kanshan Tower, Cuilinglong Pavilion, Yangzhi Pavilion and Yubei Pavilion.

Canglang Pavilion, suitable for wearing Song Dynasty Hanfu!
In Suzhou, there are four major gardens from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties. Among them, Canglang Pavilion is the oldest existing garden in Suzhou, with a distinct Song Dynasty style. Great poets such as Su Shunqin, Ouyang Xiu, and Shen Fu of the Qing Dynasty have all lived here, making it the most elegant representative of Suzhou gardens.
Recommended reasons:
1. The water area surrounding Canglang Pavilion is very beautiful, making people feel as if they are in the midst of a great river or sea.
2. It is suitable to wear Song Dynasty Hanfu to take photos at Canglang Pavilion, which presents an elegant overall tone.
3. Canglang Pavilion has 108 different types of flower windows, and it is very beautiful to look at the flowers and plants behind the windows through the flower windows.
Ticket price: 20 yuan.

Built by the water, the Canglang Pavilion
is the only garden named after a 'pavilion'
It is the oldest garden among the four major gardens in Suzhou
Although not famous, it is exceptionally elegant and interesting
🌸 Window-viewing
In the long corridor of the garden, there are 108 windows
Pomegranate patterns, begonia flowers and many other patterns, each window is different
The breeze comes through the window
The lanterns and the bamboo shadows outside the wall are interesting
Especially in the afternoon, the sunlight shines through and falls on the white wall, which is really beautiful
🎋 Cui Linglong Bamboo Viewing
In addition to the windows, bamboo is also a major feature of the Canglang Pavilion
The 'Cui Linglong' pavilion is surrounded by all kinds of bamboo
Moss bamboo, gold-rimmed jade bamboo and many other varieties I have never seen before
White walls and breezes, bamboo shadows swaying
Especially when the sunlight passes through the bamboo leaves and falls on the white wall
It seems that the sunlight also has a shape
🍵 Tea drinking in the garden
The tea room has an elegant name called 'Lotus Flower Water Pavilion'
The tea room is by the water, very quiet
Through the window of the tea room

Suzhou - Canglang Pavilion
I visited Suzhou before, there are many gardens and even more people. The famous scenic spots (Zhuozheng Garden, Liuyuan Garden, Tiger Hill, Hanshan Temple, etc.) are crowded, and the gardens are full of people, so you can't enjoy the scenery. Today I originally planned to go to the popular Shiquan Street, but I saw that there was a World Cultural Heritage site, the 'Canglang Pavilion' scenic area, 600 meters away. It turned out to be one of the four major gardens in Suzhou, and I don't know if it's because of the off-season that there are very few people. This courtyard is said to have been initially built during the Five Dynasties. The Northern Song Dynasty poet Su Shunqin bought the abandoned garden and rebuilt it, built a pavilion on the rockery and named it 'Canglang Pavilion'. Ouyang Xiu was also invited to write a long poem 'Canglang Pavilion'. Later, it changed hands several times and was even converted into a temple during the Yuan Dynasty. It was rebuilt on the old site during the Kangxi period, and the inscriptions preserved in the garden are basically from the Kangxi period.
The most amazing thing is the unique leaky windows, each one is different, and the scenery behind is also different. You can see that the original designer was very thoughtful.
When the weather is good and there are few people, you can really appreciate the exquisite Suzhou-style gardens, with mountains and water, it's refreshing and pleasant.

The Cold Winter at Canglang Pavilion
Canglang Pavilion is the oldest garden in Suzhou, built during the Qingli period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1041-1048 AD). The garden is dominated by rocks and mountains, with a soil mountain facing it, and Canglang Pavilion is located on it. Below the mountain, a water pool is dug, and a winding corridor connects the mountain and water. The corridor is inlaid with 108 different patterned windows. The lotus in summer and the camellia in winter are all in the windows of Canglang Pavilion.

Canglang Pavilion, the oldest existing garden in Suzhou
Canglang Pavilion has a long history among the existing gardens in Suzhou. It represents the gardens of Suzhou during the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, and is known as one of the 'Four Famous Gardens of Suzhou'. Compared to other popular gardens, it is less crowded and quiet. The park is known for its rockery scenery, and the exquisite flower windows on the cloister are also worth admiring.
After being demoted during the Northern Song Dynasty, literati Su Shunqin built the Canglang Pavilion. The name of the garden comes from the 'Fisherman' in Chu Ci, meaning 'The clear water of the Canglang can wash my tassels; the turbid water of the Canglang can wash my feet'. The main entrance of the garden is at the northwest corner, and you can see a pool of green water before entering the garden. Cross the bridge to enter the garden. There is a large rockery in the center of the garden, with a pavilion on the top of the mountain - the Canglang Pavilion, and the other buildings are surrounded by the rockery. After entering the garden, there is an Imperial Stele Pavilion, which displays historical materials related to the Canglang Pavilion. You can understand it first, so you won't be confused when you visit. Then don't go to the rockery on the left, take the right path, go around the park counterclockwise, and then go to the top of the mountain is the rockery of the Canglang Pavilion, this tour route is more reasonable.
The first impression of the garden is that there are many rockeries, followed by the long cloister, and the landmark building Canglang Pavilion, which constitutes the essence of the garden. On the pillars of the Canglang Pavilion on the top of the rockery, there is a couplet, the first sentence is from Ouyang Xiu, and the second sentence is from the garden owner Su Shunqin: The breeze and the bright moon are priceless, and the near water and distant mountains have feelings. Sitting in the pavilion, you can enjoy the lush scenery around the garden. The garden is crisscrossed with cloisters, there are sheds, and the rain will not affect the interest of the garden. There is a hollow flower window on the wall of the cloister, the patterns are different, it is said that there are 108 styles of flower windows in the whole garden.
On the north side of the rockery, the cloister between the rockery and the river outside the garden serves as the wall of the Canglang Pavilion. Through the flower window, you can see the water view outside the garden. The cloister also has a fish place, Mianshui Xuan and other waterfront buildings, which can step out of the wall and get close to the water view. Looking at the garden from outside the Canglang Pavilion, because the river surrounds the garden, you will feel that the garden is characterized by water views, and the beautiful scenery of the garden is revealed through the flower windows of the cloister. Generally speaking, the garden is a high wall, the Canglang Pavilion is faintly visible, because of the cloister. Looking at the scenery from the Canglang Pavilion, you will feel that the garden is characterized by mountain views. And standing in the cloister, you can see both the water view and the mountain view, cleverly integrating the two.
To the southwest of the rockery, there is a courtyard planted with osmanthus, the Qingxiang Pavilion for enjoying osmanthus, the 500 Xianci, and the Yangzhi Pavilion with inlaid imperial inscriptions and small stone carvings of Zhengming.
To the southeast of the rockery, there is a large building in the garden, the main hall Mingdao Hall, which was the place where literati lectured in the past. There are three Song stele rubbings hanging on the wall.
The three connected halls in the south, 'Cui Linglong', are surrounded by green bamboo, the bamboo wind is blowing, and the bamboo leaves are rustling. Walking in the bamboo forest, the fresh feeling comes to your face.
At the south end of the Canglang Pavilion, there is another rockery, on which stands the Kanshan Tower, which is also the commanding height in the garden. On the east side of the rockery is Yaohua, the house used by the garden owner to entertain guests.

Now I can't say to go to the Canglang Pavilion to visit the plum, in fact, just explore the plum and find the plum, read Li Qingzhao, "the warm rain and the clear wind begin to freeze, the willow eye plum, The words that have been sensationalized by the Spring are in the retreat of the winding path, the false mountains leaking through the window, and the poolside fence is found.
There are not many plums in Canglangting (and of course the opposite "Kuanyuan"). There are two kinds of plums located in the Qingxiang Pavilion. When the sun is just right, look up and look up, the yellow flowers are elves, although they are small Small embellishment, but people are immersed in it. Through the window of leakage, it seems to be separated, it seems to be hidden, and it looks out that the light and shadow are blurred and mottled. As the footsteps of the visitors move, the scenery changes accordingly. The effect of step by step and step by step expands the scenery. And extension. Some plum blossoms are dotted around the pavilions in the garden, and between the green trees and the red windows. The shadows are horizontal and oblique, and the fragrance floats, making the pavilion more delicate and elegant.
In addition to the plum, there are also and Chunlan, all of which reveal the breath of "spring", spring is coming.

Canglangting is located in the south of Suzhou City. It is the oldest in Suzhou gardens. Today, it is still stunned and reveals the ancient atmosphere. It has no other gardens, but it has a simple and heavy taste. This is exactly the same as Su Shiqins retired poet.
In the five years of the Northern Song Dynasty, Su Shiqin was ravaged and succumbed to Suzhou. He liked the scenery near Panmen. He saw the ruins of Qians Pool Museum, and the wild waters, he spent 40,000 yuan. Purchased. And build a pavilion by the water. Ouyang Xiu sent a poem to him after he heard it. There are two sentences in it: Qingfeng Mingyue is priceless, but unfortunately only sells 40,000 yuan.
Canglang Pavilion is unique in the garden of Suzhou, which is surrounded by water. It is also a corridor with the water outside the pavilion and the water outside the pavilion. A stone pavilion was built on the top of the mountain. The pavilion is large and ancient. It is in harmony with the ancient and simple style of the entire Canglang Pavilion garden. It is distinguished from the various pavilions of the Suzhou Garden by its unique personality. In today's pavilion, it has become a place for residents to rest, play cards, and chat. I don't know what the ancients used to think about when they climbed up here.
