Campuhan Ridge Walk Bali 💃🏻
#exploreasia
If you thought that this is a spot where u can take a taxi, alight from it and walk for few minutes to arrive…then you need to mentally prepare that this is not the case!!!!😀😀
The start of the Campuhan Ridge Walk is very close to the Ubud Central, if you would like to take the picture in the walkway with the standalone tree only, it will take around 15 min trekking time and to finish the entire trekking (roundtrip), it takes 40 - 60 min!!!! I dint know that so I just wore a slipper with dress 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
🎗️important: there are so so so many mosquitoes, highly recommend to wear long pants with sport shoes!!! 🦟

Campuhan Ridge Walk
Such a breathtaking place! If you plan to visit, go there a bit before the sunrise to enjoy the scene at maximum and the cool breeze of early morning. The place is suitable for jogging as well. You might bring some water because at that time, the cafés there are still closed. I enjoyed walking on the stone road with bare feet. It felt so connecting to the nature and the view. If you plan to do so, please be careful to step on the right place so you don't harm your feet, and just be cautious of the muddy spaces. Enjoy the best walk of your journey!

Campuhan Ridge Walk in Bali
Amazingly beautiful nature trail near Ubud, Bali with no entrance fees. During the walk, we passed by small villages, rice terraces, green hills and the beautiful ridge itself. It was very hot when we were there in the afternoon so I would say the best time to come is in the early mornings or close to evening. There are some cafes along the way for a rest and drink if needed. Be prepared with good walking shoes, water and insect repellent when here. It was an afternoon well spent for us with some exercise before having some delicious Balinese food after. Do check this place out if you’re in Bali!

Rice fields walk
Walking through the rice fields in Ubud is one of my favourite things to do whilst in Bali. There are several to choose from, with Kajeng being my favourite one
But Campuhan is also one that you should check out if you got are looking for some more authentic nature in Ubud.
The route is around 2-3km and its not difficult. The heat may pose a problem so better to go early in the morning for sure. There were lots of others walking the trail and everybody had a big smile on their face.
As you can see the path is flat and clearly defined. There is lush grass and trees, and if you keep going you’ll get into the rice paddies.
Along the way there is a cornucopia of flora, fauna and insects to gorge your eyes on. Keep going and you will enter a village where you will see a slice of local life
To start just go to CAMPUHAN RIDGE WALK on Google map. When you finish just get a Grab or Gojak back to wherever you want.

The Campuhan Ridge, on the outskirts of Ubud, It is one of my favorite walks in Bali. The path is well marked, easy walking (about 45 minutes) and you feel like you’re walking on the top of the earth. It’s green, green and more green and freshly air surrounding by amazing rice fields and small rivers in the jungles. At the end of the walk is a very cool bridge with a fast moving river below and then some beautiful temples and shrines which if you don’t look back, you can miss.

enjoy the lush green while burn calories
DEFINITELY a must visited once in your life when you’re in Bali. Great place and fresh air for jogging/ running or enjoying fresh air in nature. You can enjoy the lush green and see a few paddy fields as you burn your calories! Use comfy shoes or sandals when you go there. The path is easy and built well. Beautiful scenery. Take your time and enjoy the views + birds flying overhead. Some parts of the path are overgrown, but that's to be expected from a nature path. It will be good walk for exercising in the morning and have breakfast after walking in the restaurant along the walk.

Campuhan ridge walk: easy, pretty, fun!
Campuhan ridge walk is one of the most popular and recognizable attractions of Bali. If you don’t recognize a photo with the pathway and the palm tree next to it - you haven’t been to Bali.
It’s a 2-kilometer #hikingtrails that’s really easy to walk regardless of how active you are in your life. And if it’s too easy, you can always run through it, but then you’ll miss all the breathtaking views. And they are truly breathtakingly stunning. The lush green trees covered in golden sunlight and the contrast of these colors against the bright blue sky - all of it makes you feel like you are in some fairytale place where everything is possible.
At the end of the 30-minute walk (I walk slowly, but it might take even longer if you stop to appreciate the beauty or take photos), there will be a village where you can reward yourself for the workout with handmade ice cream and check out some art made by talented locals.
Warning: please don’t go in the afternoon unless you want to be thoroughly cooked on both sides by the merciless #bali sun. But then again, the afternoon seems to be the least crowded time, so perhaps it’ll be worth it - but bring a hat.
Location: located in Ubud and easy to find on Google Maps.
Kelusa, Payangan, Jl. Raya Campuhan, Sayan, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80571, Indonesia
Dangerous/safe: It’s relatively safe there from unfriendly humans and animals. You’ll see a lot of geckos. If you are really unlucky, you’ll encounter a snake, but in that case, you can’t blame the ridge walk 🤷🏻♀️
Fees: free and no parking fee, either (which is surprising cause those are collected everywhere)
Instagram rating: it’s 10/10 Instagram worthy. You’ll be able to take amazing photos and videos there.

The Most Beautiful Hiking Trails
For us, the most frustrating thing about our trip to Bali was the lack of a sense of safety, as the roads for running or hiking were exposed. The Ridge Walk is a relatively short route that solved this problem for us. Don't have too high expectations for this place; the journey is not very long, not very strenuous, and the scenery is not very impressive, but it's a good spot to exercise your legs.
I hiked along the Campuhan Ridge Walk, heading towards the Jungle Fish restaurant, and it only took about an hour, and the hike felt very relaxed. Leaving Ubud to experience the rice fields was truly wonderful, and many people were hiking on this path as well. You can rest at a local restaurant at the midpoint, or continue to the Jungle Fish restaurant, where you can relax by the pool, but either way, you'll have to spend 150,000 Indonesian rupiah on food or drinks.
The trail is suitable for hiking uphill and also for running. Along the way, there are beautiful rainforest views, leading to the rice fields. Because there are many tourists, it can get crowded. However, it's a great place close to Ubud to experience nature. At the top, there's a creperie called Ubud Creperie that serves delicious crepes.

Campuhan Ridge Walk
#indonesiatrip Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 2 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking, running, and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
Overall, the Campuhan Ridge Walk is a must-visit attraction for anyone visiting Ubud. The stunning views and peaceful surroundings make it a perfect escape from the busy city, and it is a great way to immerse oneself in Bali's natural beauty.

🚶🏻♂️Hello! Green is better than screen!
#balitrip
People used to say go out and look at greenery after long hour of looking at screen. Recommend to come here to blend yourself into the nature.
This is one of the exercise spots in Bali (take a short break from enjoying your holiday 🤣) and sweat it out! This place is accessible through Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary and surprisingly not many people although it is famous here.
Psst! Remember to apply sunblock before depart 🌚 otherwise you will just look like us in the picture.

This is a great moderate level hike in Bali but I would not recommend if you have a very very small children and it is extremely hot out as it can be quite exposed to the elements. We did this walk a couple years ago and it was beautiful once you get up over the ridge or you can walk among the rice patties and there are many cute tiny little local restaurants. #wintergetaway

Campuhan ridge walk is a hill in the north of Gunung Lebah temple. It’s also known as Gunung Lebah hill. Campuhan ridge walk surrounded by two river. Along the 1.5 meter paved track you can see the green sabana and forest across the river.
Obviously this will depend on where you are staying. Lets start from the Ubud Traditional Markets on the Corner of Jl. Monkey Forest and Jl. Raya Ubud. Head towards the bridge. If you head from the markets and you walk here, you are almost at your turnoff. Just before the bridge you will see signs to the Warwick IBAH villas and spa. Turn into that driveway area and you will see another IBAH sign at a fork in the road. Below the IBAH sign you will see a small sign saying “Going To The Hill” and you will see an arrow telling you to Go Left.
The Best Time to visit is Sunrise: 6.15 AM – 6.20 AM. Sunset 6.15 PM – 6.20 PM. For sunrise and sunset better you arrive 30 minutes before. So, you can see the change of the gradation color.
The full walk is a smooth 2km trek. There’s no need to dress in your hiking gear as it can be just a simple stroll, that takes as long as you choose.
There are points that are uphill and downhill but nothing too strenuous.
Campuhan Ridge Walk Ubud is super family friendly, in fact it’s the perfect place to hang out with friends. This spot has quickly become recognised for it’s windy block paved path and scenic vistas. There is a certain point during the walk that has become super famous showing its windy pathway separated by two palm trees. but that is worth to try to come and enjoy the view in there.

Return to the natural oxygen bar, go to the Bali Super Art Trail and walk around the
Ubud area. In addition to the palace, the water temple and the terraced fields, there is also a super-literary trail. If you come here, you will return to natural oxygen. The whole trail is surrounded by clusters of green forests, and the air is really super good.
You can hear the sound of the sound of the water in the green forest. The people who come and go are walking on the trail. The atmosphere is very popular.

Opening Hours: Open all day
Attractions tips:
1/Campuhan trails are not far from downtown Ubud. You can take a taxi or ride a motorcycle. It is recommended to rent a motorcycle to play around the attractions around Ubud. ~
2/ The entrance to this trail is a little hard to find, at the end of the Google map display. Can't find it at all! If you are near an iron bridge, you are almost there. When you are close, you can ask the locals to help guide you.
3/ This place is a pure trail. The winding hilltops are surrounded by lush forests and small rivers. The greenery is very comfortable.
But there is no place to shade, if it is going to be very dry at noon, so it is recommended to go early in the morning or go back in the evening, so that you can see the scenery and not too much.
4/ The whole trail is about 2 kilometers. It is totally no problem for the average person to go.
5/The best place to take pictures on the trail is the angle that is the most in the picture. The winding path of the winding road is very layered.
6/ When we went, it was September. Near the end of the dry season, the grass was a bit yellowish. If it was just after the rainy season, it would be more beautiful.
