It is most beautiful in July and August. However, the sunlight is so hot that an umbrella is a must!!!

📍Andong Byeongsan Seowon: 386 Byeongsan-gil, Pungcheon-myeon, Andong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do 🕡9:00~18:00 💵Admission: Free UNESCO-listed cultural heritage I visited Byeongsan Seowon, where Seoae Ryu Seong-ryong (a person who served as Prime Minister during the Imjin War and is said to have recommended General Yi Sun-sin) was enshrined because he was the most popular figure among the great people. 📝The name 'Byeongsan' in Byeongsan Seowon is said to have been given because the mountain in front of the Seowon looks like a folding screen. ✔️Gwanghaegun enshrined Seoae Ryu Seong-ryong in 1614, and it is one of the 47 Seowons that were left behind when the Seowon abolition order was issued. It is said to be one of the representative Seowons of Andong along with Dosan Seowon. ✔️In order to protect cultural assets, I couldn't go up to Mandeoru. But sometimes, you can see scenes filmed at Mandeoru in historical dramas. ✔️Since it is on a hill, the view from the Seowon is amazing! ❇️There are many things to see, such as Bokryemun (main gate), Mandeoru, Dongjae/Seojae where Confucian scholars lived, and Ipgyojang, a lecture hall. #TouristAttractionReview #ByeongsanSeowon #AndongTravel

#SpringTravel Byeongsan Seowon is an old Seowon located in Andong. Byeongsan Seowon (屛山書院) was built based on Pungak Seodang, an educational institution of the Pungsan Yu clan that existed since the mid-Goryeo period. The Seodang was originally located in Pungsan-eup, but in the 5th year of King Seonjo’s reign (1572), Seoae Yu Seong-ryong (柳成龍) [1542-1607] moved the Seodang to its current location and renamed it Byeongsan Seowon. It is a good place to visit during a spring trip, as it has well-maintained walking trails and rest areas. #Byeongsan Seowon #AndongTravel #
