#wheretogo Had a dinner at Boon Tong Kee and it was my first time trying this popular chicken rice in Singapore. There was already a queue when we reached at 6 pm but it moved pretty quick, we waited for about 20 minutes for a table. It is also a tourists’ favourite as we also saw many tourists queuing. We ordered a few dishes and it was served fast ! Classic chicken rice done extremely well. Chicken was tender and delicious, especially paired with the ginger and chilli. But to me, the star of the show was the rice! It was so fragrant that I had to stop myself from ordering seconds. Another dish I would totally recommend getting is the Crispy Beancurd. I just love to eat Boon tong Kee chicken especially the chili sauce which is totally the best of best.

#Singapore Attractions All the shops in Man Tung Kee are located in non-visitor areas. Fortunately, I live in Yau Hoi, so I can eat there before going out of the city. I went there by bus (Singapore is very convenient by public transportation, all charge visa or Master paywave. Bus on and off the bus is ok, use google map to find what car to take, arrival time is very accurate, look at the GPS to know when to get off), located in a residential area. There are about 10 people queuing up, many locals, and the staff service is very good. There are different menus for takeaway and dine-in. The table is covered with plaid tablecloths, which feels like a Hong Kong small restaurant. The chicken is super tender and smooth, with thick meat. The oil rice is very fragrant and has distinct grains. The fried tofu is crispy, but all the fried foods are served with condensed milk-textured, sweet mayonnaise. Hong Kongers may not be used to it.
