It is a Grade I historic building which is the typical Lingnan-style house built in 1922 with wide balconies. It played multiple roles back in the days where it was a hospital, temple, and even a kung fu studio.

The Blue House Cluster consists of a group of traditional residential buildings and serves as an excellent place to explore the culture of old Hong Kong. Constructed in 1922, the Blue House is memorable for its distinctive blue hue, which has helped preserve this characteristic architecture. The units in the Blue House feature spacious balconies, reflecting the architectural style of Lingnan, and have been used in the past for various purposes such as martial arts schools, medical halls, and free schools. The neighboring old residences—the Yellow House and the Orange House—share a similar fate. During my visit to the 'Hong Kong House of Stories,' I learned about the life of Hong Kong in bygone days. There were only tourists, and it was a local restaurant where the staff barely spoke English. We ordered barbecue buns, dim sum, and Chang Fun, and they were all delicious. The price was reasonable, and although we couldn't communicate in English, they were so kind that it was even better. There were old movie posters hanging inside the restaurant, which went well with the atmosphere of the restaurant and really brought out the retro atmosphere.
