Recently, it has been a favorite destination by tourist who visit the country pretty much next to Bali because this beautiful island has much to offer - diversed landscapes from temples of worship to beaches, golf courses, markets, safari, restaurants, and many more. Another favorite activity to indulge in is watching the sunset. Varieties of seafoods abound in the area because it embraces the South China Sea so it's like a seafood all you can eat here in the island. One favorite spot is the Lagoi Bay which offers just about anything.

#bintan The Spa Villa Bintan is a cosy resort situated at the beautiful Trikora Coast, Teluk Bakau on the eastern side of Bintan Island. It is a ferry ride away from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore and shuttle service is provided by the hotel from BBT ferry terminal in Bintan. All the rooms in the resort are small villas with their own private balcony facing the beachfront. Despite being a relatively small resort, it has everything you need for a fun yet relaxing escape. The resort offers a variety of beach activities including kayaking, jet skiing, snorkeling, diving, mangrove tour etc. You can just simply relax in the water spas, swimming pool and hammocks or play a pool game with your loved ones. We especially enjoyed a walk on the seabed to the nearby meteor island during low tide. The resort has an in-house restaurant though the price is relatively more expensive. During our stay, there was a movie screening every night after dinner at the lawn next to the restaurant. The kids enjoyed it very much as they got to watch movies lying on bean bags. There is also a restaurant called Teluk Bakau Bay View by the beach just a few minutes walk from the resort. The seafood was fresh and affordable! Location: Km. 38 Jl. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, as the terrain is quite hilly and you may have to walk quite a bit. 2. Bring plenty of water and snacks to keep you hydrated and energized throughout the day. 3. Bring a hat and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun. 4. Make sure you have a map of the area, as the trails can be confusing and it’s easy to get lost. 5. #bintan Senggiling beach is located in Bintan Island, 45 km from the capital city Tanjungpinang. You will have to travel around 1~1.5 hours to reach this beautiful beach. The water is very blue and clear and since not many people know about this beach yet, the atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing. The beach is also still very clean and the sand is super soft. Senggiling beach is really suitable for one who wants a peaceful leisure time. I saw some people go camping and bring tent here! So it's also an option for you who are adventerous to go camping at the beach. Travel tips: 1.The wave in senggiling beach is very weak most of the times, but still, be careful when swimming since the wind can be quite strong sometimes. 2. No bathroom here, so please be prepared! 3.I think it is better if you could bring local friend or people who know the beach very well, since it is located quite far from the city center, and the access might be difficult if you are not familiar with the route. 4. We were starving after a long ride from Singapore, and we stumbled across this local foodcourt while trying to escape the taxi drivers. Right at the enterance of the mall sits a small food court selling local delights like mee siam, laksa, soto ayam, fresh juice and more! The prices ranges from 25k-35k. We ordered:- 1. Fish noodle soup 8/10 - the noodle was tasteless but the soup was very tasty! It contains fishball, fishcakes amd fish paste bitter gourd. The portion was generous too! 2. Soto ayam 6/10 - very heavy on msg! It tasted like mee goreng with soto ayam meggi soup. It's one of the popular dish there but I would give it pass if you're not an msg fan! Overall a nice local experience I would give it a try if you're in the area.

This was once a huge crater in a relinquished mining site. The aptly named Mayang Sari Beach Resort -- "mayang" means palm blossom and "sari" means flower essence in Indonesian -- is a beachside property that's part of the Nirwana Gardens complex, which comprises five total hotels. This hotel has a bit of a rustic vibe, exemplified by the its wooden chalets, though interior updates have rooms feeling contemporary and attractive. Unfortunately, the the lobby and on-site Spice Restaurant are more traditional and could use a refresh. Some past guests have complained of minor maintenance issues and evident wear. While the resort’s facilities are a bit limited, visitors can access all features at the other Nirwana Gardens hotels. Featuring just 31 rooms, visitors are greeted at the on-site restaurant, which doubles as reception. While the property’s rooms and public areas are sparsely decorated, most guests stay at the resort to enjoy one of the suites or villas built directly above water (the rooms are located in a three-story building). Bintan Island in Indonesia, across the sea from Singapore, is only a 50-minute ferry ride away. It attracts many tourists and golf enthusiasts from Singapore and is known as Singapore's back garden. This time I took a trip to Bintan Island, the largest island in the Riau Islands of Indonesia, with a population of about 400,000. Tourists are mostly concentrated in the north of the island (close to Singapore), while locals are mainly in the south. The 3,200 hectares in the north are designated as the Bintan Island Tourism Area, which is land leased by Singapore from Indonesia for 80 years. It is managed and operated by Singapore. There are star-rated hotels and high-end restaurants nearby. The prices and consumption are no less than those in Singapore, but the environment is good with blue sea and blue sky, and the urban construction and planning are obviously better than those in the south. The south is mostly populated by locals, and the urban infrastructure is very average, showing the huge gap in development between the north and the south. This is the uniqueness of Bintan Island. Next time you go to Singapore, remember to visit Bintan.

The main tourist destination on Bintan Island, from the direction of the Sri Bintan Pura Harbor and Raja Haji Fisabilillah Airport in Tanjungpinang, you will be treated to the atmosphere of the white sandy coast typical of Trikora Beach. From downtown Tanjungpinang, this beach is about 45 kilometers. The length reaches 25 kilometers and is divided into four parts, namely Trikora 1, Trikora 2, Trikora 3 and Trikora 4. At the beginning of Trikora Beach, there are no hotels or similar accommodations. So seeing this beach feels loose, there is no barrier. However, at Trikora 3 and Trikora 4 beaches, hotels are lined up on the beach. Generally also cleaner because the beach is managed by the hotel management. At Trikora 3 and Trikora 4 beaches, the beach is also decorated with large granite stones. There is even this type of stone that is far into the middle of the sea.
