In BGC (Bonifacio Global City) of Manila, you can experience this breathtaking giant exhibition!
Stepping into the exhibition area feels like entering a fantastical world—massive sculptures, exaggerated proportions, and surreal expressions. Every corner is perfect for taking photos and sharing on social media 📸.
The most eye-catching pieces are undoubtedly the enlarged human sculptures, with details so realistic that you can't help but take a closer look. The entire exhibition area combines artistic flair with imagination, leaving visitors both awestruck and amused.

Spending a weekend in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) is always a treat, with endless options for shopping, dining, and exploring. Start with a stroll through Market! Market!, where you’ll find local specialties, fresh produce, and sweet Filipino treats at budget-friendly prices. It’s also a great place for souvenirs and a lively peek into local culture.
Fashion lovers will be delighted by the variety of clothing stores. I couldn’t resist picking up a cute dress while browsing! After shopping, we headed for a late lunch at HANAMARUKEN RAMEN, where the comforting bowls of authentic Japanese ramen were the perfect way to recharge.

Christmas in BGC🎄
Taguig is rising as Metro Manila’s urban playground, and Bonifacio Global City (BGC) is where the cool stuff really happens — giant 3D screens, shopping, and a legit festive vibe 🎄✨ If you’re hyped about Christmas features and branded displays, you’re in for a treat!
Top Spots to Visit in BGC
1. BGC 3D Billboard at One Ayala
Address: G392+28X, Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines
Pro tip: Visit after sunset for full effect! The 3D screens level up the street scene, and companies roll out some jaw-dropping Christmas displays. I caught the buzz from One Ayala’s holiday feature — brands go all out, and there’s always something new to snap for your feed.
2. Bonifacio High Street
Just a short walk away, this spot is packed with open-air shopping, restaurants, and seasonal installations. December means surprise pop-ups and twinkling décor everywhere.
3. Serendra & Market! Market!
For a foodie fix or a low-key stroll, these areas have tons of casual eats and budget shopping. Grab some local snacks while you get lost in the festive crowd.
Getting Around
All these BGC highlights are ultra-walkable. You can also hop on the BGC Bus (affordable, stops every few minutes) to zip between malls and attractions. Taxis and ride apps are everywhere, but traffic can get wild during rush hour!
Food Tips
Try Filipino comfort food at Locavore or Scout’s Honor for sweet treats. Plenty of cafes offer Christmas specials — perfect for a snack-and-people-watching break.
Travel Tips
Weather: December is mostly cooler, but bring a light jacket for nighttime walks.
Money: Most shops take credit cards, but small eateries do prefer cash.
Visa: Most visitors can enter the Philippines visa-free for up to 30 days (check latest rules).

🇵🇭Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Manila, Philippines
🇵🇭Makati, Manila, Philippines
🏖️Atmosphere/Facilities: It's truly the Manhattan or New York of Southeast Asia. When I first visited Manila last year, I focused on Intramuros, Chinatown, and Pasay City. Airfare to the Philippines is incredibly cheap—less than NT$3,000 round-trip, and no visa required. Three nights in a three- or four-star hotel is only around NT$2,500. With all that, why wouldn't I want to come again?
💞Recommendation: The old town has its own unique charm, while the affluent areas have their own bustling and chaotic atmosphere. Basically, it has it all. Whatever you want to buy, there are malls everywhere. Whatever you want to eat, there are restaurants everywhere. Whatever you want to find peace and quiet in the bustle, there are even more parks. In short, BGC has it all.
⚠️Warning: Although BGC and Makati are relatively safer than other areas, dress modestly. After all, you never know when you might be targeted! These areas are full of high-rollers, and social incidents are constantly occurring!
💰Average Cost: It depends on your budget. I personally focus on walking around City Walk and taking photos. I choose a high-end restaurant for lunch, two coffees, one dim sum, and one dinner, which comes to around 1,000 pesos (about NT$520) per day.
🗓️Itinerary: You can plan a 5-hour trip to Makati or another 5-hour trip to BGC.

Top Spots to Visit:
BGC (Bonifacio Global City), G392+28X, Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines
Getting lost in BGC means turning every corner to find another glassy skyscraper or artsy mural! Don’t miss a stroll along High Street: it’s the lively heart of BGC, lined with boutiques, pop-up shops, quirky cafes, and eye-catching installations. Pro tip: If you’re a fan of killer cityscapes, head up to one of the rooftop bars just before sunset—skyline goals, guaranteed. 🌇
Foodie tip: There’s no shortage of eats for every mood and budget. Hunt down local café stops for Filipino specialties, or try Korean BBQ and Japanese ramen—BGC has it all and then some.
Getting Around:
BGC is super walkable and safe, with clean sidewalks—plus, everything’s mapped out for navigation lovers. Jeepneys, e-shuttles, or regular taxis are easy to find for longer hops. Otherwise, lace up some comfy shoes and explore at your own pace!
Smart Tip:
When you hit those towering buildings, don’t forget to look UP—each one has unique architecture, and there are often cool lobby art exhibits you can check out for free.

🎨 Art & Flavorful Escapes in BGC
We spent a delightful day at BGC, where art and food come together beautifully. Our first stop was SM Aura Premier, which featured a vibrant art exhibit by Sunshine Place. From colorful paintings to intricate sculptures, each piece reflected creativity and passion, making the mall feel like a mini museum.
As the evening rolled in, we headed to Genki Sushi, one of the most popular conveyor belt sushi spots in the Philippines. Fresh plates of seared shrimp, salmon, and tuna arrived straight to our table with just a tap on the screen—fun, fast, and delicious.
To end the day, we grabbed a latte from Deuces, a stylish café with modern interiors and cozy vibes. Perfectly brewed coffee in hand, it was the ideal way to wrap up our BGC adventure.

Mom's homemade taste in the Philippines, Jung One
Jung One is a must-visit restaurant in the Philippines for those longing for authentic Korean home-cooked meals. The dishes here capture the unique, refined, and deep flavors of Korean cuisine, reminiscent of the warm meals your mom might prepare at home.
Every menu item is non-overpowering, allowing the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine through. The dishes are thoughtfully composed, making them easy and comfortable to enjoy. The pan-fried dumplings, in particular, were incredibly crispy and delicious.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience throughout. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and offers plenty of seating, allowing for a relaxed meal. The prices are reasonable, adding to the overall satisfaction.
This is a highly recommended spot for those missing Korean food while in the Philippines or anyone seeking a heartfelt meal in a cozy atmosphere.

It’s more fun in the Philippines!
#philippinestrip
After weeks of tiring work and long hours, nothing feels more rewarding than a relaxing staycation—and in the Philippines, it’s easy to enjoy one without traveling far. A staycation offers the perfect mix of rest and recreation, allowing you to recharge both mentally and physically without the stress of packing or catching flights.
The Philippines is blessed with beautiful local destinations and cozy accommodations ideal for a rejuvenating staycation. You can check into a luxury hotel in Metro Manila, like Sofitel or Okada, where you can enjoy spa treatments, buffets, and infinity pools with a view. These urban escapes offer everything you need to unwind—comfortable rooms, room service, and relaxing ambiance.
If you want a touch of nature, consider staying at a nearby beach resort in Batangas or Zambales. A quick drive out of the city brings you to white sand beaches and peaceful ocean views, where you can sip fresh coconut juice, enjoy a massage by the shore, or simply nap in a hammock under the trees. These short trips don’t require complicated planning but deliver the rest you need.
A fun staycation also means reconnecting with simple joys—reading a book, binge-watching your favorite series, or spending quality time with family. Even at home, you can make it special by setting up a movie marathon night, trying new recipes, or having a picnic in your backyard.
In a fast-paced world, a staycation in the Philippines is a wonderful way to pause, breathe, and treat yourself. It’s proof that you don’t need to go far to find peace, fun, and well-deserved rest.

Hoegaarden Rose draft beer at a Philippine sports bar
Pink's, located in Bonifacio, BGC, Philippines, is a sports bar.
You can enjoy refreshing draft beer and delicious snacks while watching various games like tennis, basketball, and soccer.
I usually go here for a Hoegaarden Rose draft beer and the sausage sampler.
The Margherita pizza is also delicious, and the sausages and chili pickles pair perfectly with the beer.
There aren't many places that serve Hoegaarden draft beer, making it a rare find.
In the evenings, the bar is packed with people coming in after work.
A quick stop for a draft beer on a hot summer day is a real treat.
They also offer a variety of beers and drinks, as well as pizza, burgers, and their famous hot dogs, so you can enjoy whatever you like.
