#chinatravel When in Beijing, I always make it a point to have a stopover at Wangfujing Pedestrian Walking Street. The night view is usually very grand with dazzling bright lights and 3D graphic display at 王府井百货. As it was raining on and off, many of the sights were not well captured. Take selfies with the iconic clock tower as backdrop and also visit the famous Beijing snack shop 稻香村 to buy some sweet savoury souvenirs back home. There are also a few shops here that sell really good 北京冰糖葫芦 but at a touristy price. For those into Peking duck, Quanjude is on a side street. There is also a POP MART outlet at the basement of apm Mall. In addition they have a pop up stall on the ground floor as well as a Labubu The Monsters Market where you can buy Labubu themed instant cup noodles, add hot water and eat within the store as well ! Rhapsody is located on the 5th floor of APM shopping mall in Wangfujing, a famous shopping district in the heart of Beijing. We got to know this restaurant from a recommendation from a Thai person on a travel page who all said in unison, “You have to try it.” Of course, we were not disappointed at all! When we arrived at the restaurant at around 8:30 PM, the atmosphere was nice, we didn’t have to wait in line, and we got a table right away. The staff provided excellent service. The menu wasn’t complicated, and the price was very reasonable compared to the quality. The must-try menu item is definitely the Peking duck – thin and crispy skin, served with steamed fresh dough and side dishes such as cucumber, spring onion, and sweet sauce. The aroma and flavors go together very well. The restaurant also offers a free, bland duck soup. This hot soup helps balance the rich flavor of the duck. Another dish I’d like to recommend is the pickled cucumber, which has a slightly sweet and slightly spicy flavor that perfectly cuts through the richness of the duck. Another dish that I was secretly impressed with was the stuffed fresh tomato, which is stuffed with mayonnaise and walnuts. The flavors go together unexpectedly. The shop is in zone C, not hard to find, coming with friends or family is very convenient. ⸻ 🦆 Peking duck is good! The Peking duck here is the signature. It is called “酥不腻”, which is crispy but not greasy, not too oily. Eat it with flour + sweet sauce is very delicious. The skin is crispy and melts in your mouth. 😍 For those who have never tried premium Peking duck, I recommend starting here because the portion is just right. You don't have to order the whole thing. You can share it. ⸻ 🍵 Free soup! Unlimited refills I was secretly impressed that they serve hot duck soup for free and you can refill it. The taste is rich. Very warm stomach ⸻ 🥢 Other menus are also great In addition to duck, this place has many interesting modern Chinese dishes, such as cherry foie gras 🍒, stir-fried shrimp with gongpao, fried broccoli, or snacks like salads that are also cool. ⸻ 💰 Mid-range price but worth it The price is not cheap, but not as expensive as Dadong's main restaurant. Suitable for those who want to eat good food at a reasonable price, around 150-250 yuan per person. Definitely full if you come with many people and share. ⸻ 🪑 Good atmosphere, not crowded The shop is decorated in a simple and luxurious style. It is modern but not over the top. Comfortable to sit and not stuffy. The staff service is okay.
