A Peaceful Haven at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary
#hellohalloween Ta’ Pinu in Gozo, Malta, is a place that radiates calm and devotion. The basilica stands beautifully against the open countryside, its stone facade glowing in the sunlight. Inside, the church feels serene and filled with quiet reverence, with detailed mosaics and stained glass that add a gentle warmth to the space. The walls lined with offerings and thank you notes from visitors tell touching stories of faith and gratitude.
Outside, there are paths and chapels where you can walk and reflect while enjoying wide views of Gozo’s rolling hills. Even if you are not religious, Ta’ Pinu offers a sense of peace and history that is easy to appreciate. It is both a spiritual and scenic highlight of the island.
Ta’Pinu Temple, Gozo. Unmissable beautiful peaceful temple.
Our second visit to this beautiful temple, our first visit was a rushed snapshot from the Tourist bus. We travelled on the normal bus so had plenty of time to walk around the site, absorb the atmosphere and really look at the rooms full of sacrifices and prayers. There are so many lovely marble statues around the forecourt area to see. A service was taking place while we visited and sitting quietly listening to the rising and falling voices was so calming.
The weather was beautiful so we walked up the hill opposite where there are marble statues dotted around. This gave us the most amazing view across the island to the sea. Waiting for the bus in the sunshine, we saw tiny little lizards scurrying around.
There was a little van selling drinks and fresh fruit at the bus stop. The normal bus comes past about every hour giving you time to explore and the bus takes you back to Victoria station.
Gozo Off the Beaten Path – Hidden Gems Await 🌿💙
#hellohalloween
Beyond the well-known sights, Gozo is full of secret corners that make you feel like you’ve discovered the island for yourself. Narrow lanes in Victoria hide cozy cafés and artisan shops, while quiet coves along the coast offer peaceful swimming spots away from the crowds. 🌊✨
I stumbled upon small hilltop chapels, deserted terraces overlooking the turquoise sea, and tucked-away stone paths lined with wildflowers — each place felt timeless and untouched. The real charm of Gozo lies in these quiet moments, where the island’s pace slows and you can just breathe in its beauty. 🌸

Gozo’s Glowing Gem – The Basilica by Night 🌙✨
#hellohalloween
As the sun dipped behind Gozo’s rolling hills, the Ta’ Pinu Basilica slowly lit up, turning into a radiant beacon against the night sky. Its soft golden lights reflected off the stone façade, and the peaceful silence around made it feel almost magical. 🌌
Walking up the hill, I could hear only the crickets and the faint rustle of the wind — a perfect moment of serenity. Inside, the basilica’s warm glow revealed intricate mosaics and devotion-filled details that seem even more beautiful after dark.

Ta' Pinu Basilica on Gozo Island
📍Ta' Pinu Basilica
Address: Ta' Pinu Road, Għarb GRB 1704, Malta
I visited the Ta' Pinu Basilica, a Catholic church located on Gozo Island, Malta. This church became a pilgrimage site after a miracle was said to have occurred there in the 19th century, and it continues to attract many believers to this day.
The interior is adorned with beautiful mosaics and stained glass, creating a serene yet powerful atmosphere. Additionally, there are displays of offerings given in gratitude for miracles, including photos and clothing from people who have recovered from illnesses or injuries.
The basilica is situated on a hill with no other buildings around it, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape, which is another highlight of the visit.
