The entrance fee was €5, which included a tour of the royal tombs of the House of Savoy. The basilica’s interior was breathtaking, with its ornate altars, detailed frescoes, and massive dome. It’s easy to see why this place is a symbol of Turin’s cultural heritage. 🎨⛪️ The real highlight, though, was the panoramic view from the top of the basilica’s dome. For a small additional fee of €3, I climbed a narrow spiral staircase that led to the viewing platform. The sweeping views of Turin and the surrounding Alps were absolutely unforgettable! 🏞️🏔️ After soaking in the sights, I learned about the tragic plane crash that occurred here in 1949, which claimed the lives of the entire Torino football team—a somber but important part of Superga’s history. When you look inside, you can see the prayer area and beautiful sculptures. You will enjoy it more if you know the history of Mary and others. There are some places where you can't take photos, and I felt like I was able to be honest with my feelings in a breathtaking place. The third photo is the surrounding scenery. Yes. It is located at a high altitude. I walked a lot to get here and took buses (city bus, shuttle bus) 💪✨ As for the shuttle bus, there are few of them and there are delays that are unique to overseas. I had to wait for almost an hour and a half 😖 It was also crowded and the roads were paved with stone, so it shook a lot. If you are prone to motion sickness, be careful.
