Amazing Moroccan Pavilion Near Us
#kualalumpur
This beautiful place requires me not having to fly to Morocco. It is just near my office in Putrajaya. Plus it is totally free.
This pavilion resembles palaces in Morocco and was built as a cultural exchange between Malaysia and Morocco. Definitely an amazing photobooth landscape overseeing the serene and blue green Putrajaya Lake.
There's nothing much to do here but please enjoy the intricate and detailed architecture and decor of the ceiling, arch, door, tiling and the whole place. wish they could install the water fountain

A Slice of Morocco in Putrajaya
#cityplaybook
Nestled within the lush expanse of Putrajaya Botanical Gardens, the Moroccan Pavilion—also known as Astaka Morocco—is a captivating fusion of North African artistry and Malaysian hospitality.
Spanning 18,000 square feet, this architectural gem was constructed over two years, with materials imported from Morocco and assembled by skilled Moroccan artisans to ensure authenticity.
The pavilion's design draws inspiration from Morocco's imperial cities, featuring four distinct galleries that showcase intricate zellij mosaics, arabesque patterns, and Arabic calligraphy.
Most parts of the pavilion are free to visit, except the part on the very end, but which cost RM3 only anyway.
P/S: the navigation guide on google maps is completely wrong. Use “botanical garden” as keyword instead. The pavilion is right inside the garden past the gate.

Astaka Morocco: A Perfect Spot for Photos
Astaka Morocco
From the Pink Mosque to Moroccan-style architecture. It's very Instagrammable, but not very well known. It's a 15-minute walk from the Pink Mosque. Admission is free, but the gallery has a fee. You can enjoy it enough with the free admission, but the paid area is also very beautiful. It doesn't take much time, so you can visit it along with the Pink Mosque.
Even if you go just before closing time, there were no particular restrictions on entry.
