9-day trip to Hainan
First day: Xuwen ferry to Haikou, two hours. For kids who have never been on a big ship, it was quite novel. Since we arrived at night, we booked a hotel near Qilou Old Street, which is convenient for shopping. For someone from Guangzhou like me, Qilou is not unfamiliar at all. The kids said it felt like being back in Shangxiajiu, so we didn't feel much and went to bed early.
Second day: Wenchang Qingshui Bay, Luneng Hilton Hotel. The water at Qingshui Bay is clear with white sand, and the appropriate amount of seaside rocks makes for a great experience. It's very photogenic. It's worth mentioning that the breakfast and dinner packages at the Hilton Hotel are indeed good. Free for kids under 1.2 meters, and half price for children! The round-trip shuttle is also very convenient. Thumbs up 👍
Third day: Boao, Asian Bay Grand Hotel. We stayed here for a few days before, and the sea view is very open. Unfortunately, this time we mistakenly booked the Asian Bay Yiyuan, which is completely different. We were too lazy to go to the beach and headed straight to Tanmen Fishing Port. We used to go to the seafood street by the port, but this time we walked into the town. The street mainly offers stir-fried dishes, suitable for tourists. In town, we found a local restaurant on the second try, where every table had a seafood hotpot. It used to cost us about 1000 yuan at the port, but this time we had a big pot of seafood for a family of four for just 150 yuan!!! This was the most affordable meal we've had in Hainan so far!
Fourth and fifth days: Wanning Riyue Bay. The accommodation in Riyue Bay is spacious with two bedrooms and a living room, and the sea view is open. The most important thing is that we had a great time playing in the sea every day, surfing and relaxing! There are small bays with gentle waves, suitable for all ages. Staying for a few days and playing slowly is a good choice!
Sixth day: Sanya, Yiheng Night Market. The main goal was to change the taste! We specifically chose a hotel near the night market. Adults can eat a lot, and kids can shop. There are so many trinkets. The lively city atmosphere is completely different from the tranquility of the small seaside hotel. Changing the environment appropriately helps to adjust the mood; otherwise, the trip would be too boring
Seventh and eighth days: West Island. We've been to Wuzhizhou, so this time we went to West Island, mainly because we wanted to take the kids to catch the sea! The hotels on West Island are relatively affordable, and each has a small swimming pool, which the kids love! The pace is slow, suitable for a few days' stay. In the evening, the coastline from Niuhuangling is full of people catching the sea, but we couldn't catch much except for small snails everywhere. It's worth mentioning that the sunset on West Island is really beautiful!! It's worth coming to West Island to daze just for this sunset glow!
Ninth day: Finally going home. The commercial center at Phoenix Airport is quite convenient for eating and affordable. We ate at a Hunan restaurant, and the taste was really good! Delicious and not expensive! Unlike mainland airports, where they seem to fear you have too little money!
