🏂Newbies can also slide down from the top of the mountain⛷️|Super long green line 5,500 meters✨|Appi Kogen Ski Resort in Japan❄️
Appi Kogen Ski Resort (Appi Kogen Ski Resort) is located in Hachimantai City, Iwate Prefecture, Japan, and is a paradise for ski enthusiasts. Whether you are a novice or an expert, you can find a slide that suits you here🎿✨
Ski resort highlights❄️
- Geographic location 📍
Located in Appi Plateau, Hachimantai City, Iwate Prefecture, at 40 degrees north latitude, with an altitude of approximately 1,304 meters. The area has a highland climate with an average annual temperature of about 6°C and winter temperatures can drop to -15°C. The snow accumulation exceeds 2 meters every year, so remember to prepare for the cold before setting off🧣.
- Snow quality features✨
The ski resort is famous for its extremely dry "aspirin snow", which has very low water content and is not easy to clump even when you grab it with your hands. This kind of snow quality makes the slide smoother and remains stable all day long, making the skiing experience easy and enjoyable⛷️.
- Ski season 📅
The ski resort is usually open from early December to early May of the following year. The 2024-2025 ski season is expected to operate until May 6, but the specific date is still subject to the official website announcement.
Snow Conditions Review ❄️ - Measured in mid-January 2024
The temperature was between 0°C and 5°C, and the snow was slightly harder at the foot of the mountain due to melting snow in the sun, but it was still high-quality powder snow at the top of the mountain. The snow groomer grooms the novice trail every day, the snow conditions are stable and easy to control, the overall experience is very pleasant👍
Ski slope introduction 🎿
- The ski resort has 21 ski slopes, suitable for skiers of different levels
- Ski resort data highlights: Total skiing distance is 43,100 meters | The longest single skiing distance is 5,500 meters 🌟 The maximum height difference is 708 meters | The maximum slope is 34 degrees
- Recommended for beginners to experience the green line🟢
The longest green line is 5,500 meters long and slides all the way down from the top of the mountain. The scenery along the way is magnificent and it takes about an hour to complete the slide. It should be noted that there is a short and steep section at the top of the mountain, close to the cliff on the right, and novice skiers need to pay attention to braking skills ⚠️. Snowboarders can simply sit down to slow down if they can't brake. Although the process is a bit exciting, it is definitely worth a try and you will never forget it!
