Ap Lei Chau to Ap Lei Pai Hike
#HongKongInDepthTour
This route is a relatively less popular but highly challenging coastal hiking trail, running from Ap Lei Chau to Ap Lei Pai. It traverses narrow ridges and steep sea cliffs, making it a favorite among experienced local hikers. Although the entire route is not long, it features steep slopes and many rocky paths, posing certain dangers that require careful walking. However, the scenery along the way is extremely magnificent, especially when standing on the narrow ridge with the blue ocean on both sides, creating a strong visual impact. The endpoint, Ap Lei Pai, is an uninhabited island preserving its original coastal ecology. From the summit, you can overlook the southern district of Hong Kong Island and the area around Lamma Island. This route is not suitable for beginners, but for travelers who enjoy challenges and seek unique views, it is a deep exploration journey. There are no crowds here, only the sound of the wind and waves, making it an ideal place for city dwellers to briefly escape daily life.
