Somewhere in the Great Himalaya Trail
Somewhere in the middle of this huge valley between Annapurna South (7,219m), Hiunchuli (6,441m) & Machhapuchhare (6,993m). Somewhere close to the clouds & the sky. Somewhere far from all the chaos, far from the necropolis. Somewhere that still possesses the vivid memories of impermanence.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a 6-8 days long moderately difficult trekking route in Annapurna Region, Nepal.

Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal
Treated myself to a solo trek in Nepal for my 30th birthday earlier this year (March/April 2024) - no guide, no porter, no friends, just me & my 7kg backpack.
It was such an incredible, challenging, exhausting, beautiful, painful, rewarding multi-day hike. It was my first time hiking in high altitudes (4130m at base camp) and my longest multi-day hike I’d ever done before, but I’m so glad I pushed myself to my limits to experience the magic of the Nepalese Himalayas.

Conquering the Himalayas: The Ultimate Annapurna Base Camp Trek Adventure
Embarking on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. From the moment I set foot in the vibrant city of Pokhara, I knew this adventure would be special. The serene lakes and panoramic mountain views were just the beginning.
As we left Pokhara, the trail led us through charming villages and terraced fields, each step bringing new sights and encounters. The hospitality of the Gurung and Magar communities was heartwarming, offering a glimpse into the rich cultural tapestry of the region. Sharing stories and meals with the locals added a profound depth to the journey.
The trek itself was a feast for the senses. We passed through lush rhododendron forests and dense bamboo groves, the air filled with the scent of blooming flowers and the sounds of chirping birds. Each day brought new challenges and rewards, from the steep ascents to the breathtaking vistas that awaited us at higher elevations.
One of the highlights was reaching the village of Chomrong, perched on a hillside with spectacular views of the Annapurna range. The anticipation built as we approached the Hinku Cave, a dramatic landmark that signaled we were nearing our goal.
Reaching Annapurna Base Camp was a moment of pure triumph. At 4,130 meters (13,550 feet), surrounded by the towering peaks of Annapurna I and Machapuchare, I felt a profound sense of accomplishment. The serene beauty and the sheer scale of the Himalayas were humbling and awe-inspiring.
The return journey was just as captivating. We retraced our steps through the diverse landscapes, each familiar sight now imbued with the memories of our ascent. Relaxing in natural hot springs along the way was a welcome respite for our tired muscles.
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek was more than just a trek; it was a journey of self-discovery, filled with unforgettable moments and breathtaking beauty. It’s an experience I will treasure forever, a testament to the allure and majesty of the Himalayas.#annapurnacircuittrek #nepal #himalayas

Celebrating Malaysia Day at Annapurna Peak!
#happymalaysiaday
As I sit at the peak of Annapurna Base Camp, celebrating Malaysia Day, I can't help but reflect on the journey that brought me here. The trek was challenging, but the stunning views and the sense of accomplishment make it all worth it.
One of the biggest takeaways from this experience is the importance of preparation. Before embarking on this trek, I made sure to research the route, the weather conditions, and the necessary gear. This allowed me to be better equipped and more confident during the journey.
Another takeaway is the power of perseverance. There were moments during the trek when I felt exhausted and wanted to give up, but pushing through those moments and continuing on the path led me to this incredible view at the peak. This experience has taught me that with determination and hard work, anything is possible.
Furthermore, this journey has reminded me of the beauty of nature and the importance of preserving it. The stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife along the route were a constant reminder of the need to protect our environment.
Overall, this celebration of Malaysia Day at the peak of Annapurna Base Camp has been an unforgettable experience, filled with valuable lessons and reflections.

Annapurna Base Camp: 360 Mountain View
#mymymemories
Camping for just one day at Annapurna Base Camp was a remarkable experience. I stayed in a cozy teahouse and had the privilege of witnessing the breathtaking 360-degree Annapurna mountain scenery.
The most enchanting aspect of my one-day stay at Annapurna Base Camp was undoubtedly the mesmerizing view that unfolded before me. The towering peaks of the Annapurna range formed an awe-inspiring amphitheater, embracing the base camp. As I gazed at Annapurna I, Annapurna South, and the iconic Machapuchare, I felt like I was in the presence of giants. The sunlight danced on the snow-capped summits, casting a golden glow that painted the entire scene with a touch of magic. It was a view that words could scarcely capture, a symphony of nature's beauty that left an indelible mark on my heart.
Although it was a short visit, the sunrise over the majestic peaks was unforgettable, making it a journey I'll always treasure. The teahouse provided a comfortable refuge amidst the rugged terrain, and the clear mountain air and serene surroundings added to the tranquility of the experience.
