Lowest point on earth? Dead sea and Jordan!
Jordan! Wow, it was an unforgettable experience, full of ancient history, vibrant culture, and natural beauty. Amman, the capital, perfectly blends old and new. The Roman Theatre, standing in the heart of the city, was a glimpse into Jordan’s rich past, while the Amman Citadel offered sweeping views of the city, with ancient ruins that speak to centuries of history. Walking through the bustling streets, visiting local markets, and interacting with friendly locals gave me a true sense of the city’s character. The modern side of Amman, with its lively cafes, restaurants, and galleries, added to the dynamic atmosphere.
One of the highlights of the trip was visiting the Dead Sea, a destination unlike any other. Floating in the Dead Sea’s buoyant waters was an extraordinary experience – the sensation of weightlessness is something you have to feel to believe. The mineral-rich waters and therapeutic mud are renowned for their health benefits, and after covering myself in the famous Dead Sea mud, my skin felt incredibly rejuvenated. The stunning, otherworldly landscape of the Dead Sea, with its sparkling salt formations and the surrounding mountains, created a serene and almost magical atmosphere.
Jordan, with its fascinating history in Amman and the natural marvel of the Dead Sea, offers a perfect blend of cultural exploration and relaxation. From the ancient ruins to the unique experience of floating in the lowest point on earth, this trip was a remarkable journey through one of the Middle East's most captivating destinations. I left with unforgettable memories and a deep appreciation for Jordan's rich heritage and natural beauty.

Astonishing Historical Journey at the Amman Citadel
Visiting the Amman Citadel was an amazing historical experience. I enjoyed touring this magnificent archaeological site perched on a hill overlooking the city of Amman. It scorned the ruins of ancient civilizations such as Roman columns, the Temple of Hercules, and the Umayyad Palace. The unobstructed view of the city from the top of the fortress was fantastic, providing me with a great opportunity to take photos. Exploring the archaeological museum located at the site, I felt the depth of history and culture, learning about artifacts that date back to different eras. Visiting the Amman Citadel was a rich experience in history and knowledge, leaving an unforgettable impression of the greatness of the civilizations that have been conveyed on this land.

Jordan Castle Hawthorn
Castle Hill is the center of the old city, not only can see the entire old city, but also can see the world's highest flag flag of Jordan ~
in Amman, Jordan. Castle Hill, which rises from the old town, and the Clock Tower, which stands above it, have become the symbol of Graz. Looking at the castle hills and looking at the old town is a must for Graz.
yaka.
Castle Hill is the commanding heights of Amman. It used to be the first fortress in Amman and is closely related to the history of Amman.
From the 11th century BC, the kingdom of Amon, who worshipped the Egyptian sun god, built the capital on the castle hill. Later, in 300 BC, the Macedonian kingdom built Philadelphia again, and the Arabs built it around AD. Amir Palace.
Castle Hill is the best place to overlook Amman. Ascending to the top of the mountain, the entire white buildings of Amman's urban area are scattered and lined up, especially in the evening. The whole city is slowly welcoming the night when the night is coming. It is really shocking.
KRISTINA.
This ruin on the top of Castle Hill is the beginning of Jordanian civilization. In the eleventh century BC, a group of Egyptians who were abandoned after the defeat came to the place with the faith of Amon, and established their own small kingdom on the top of the mountain. It was called Abbas Amon.
Because Amman is located at the intersection of Europe, Asia and Africa on three continents, the military is in a battleground. Therefore, Amman has been subjected to foreign aggression many times in history. It was occupied by Assyrians, Persians and Greeks, and later became Rome. The province of the empire. After
West Asia was conquered by the Roman Empire, the Roman emperor routinely conducted a patrol of the land of the East during the coronation. One was to familiarize the manager with his land, and the other was to let the emperor's ceremonial ceremonies serve the Quartet. Anthony Asylum, one of the emperors, was on this tour, and after seeing the shape of the hill, he built a temple on the top of the mountain for his most adored Hercules, only from the few remaining today. The roots of the temple can be seen at the root of the temple.
Now I can find the hand of the statue of Hercules abandoned in the ruins. It is as big as two of me. When the conquered nomads saw the Hercules on the top of the mountain, it was the Holy Roman. The solemn momentum of the empire makes people feel uncomfortable.
JOJO’s wonderful trip.
Must-see attractions in Jordan, stunningly beautiful.

Stand on top of the Citadel Hill and overlook the city.
Walk on Rainbow Street in the evening,
The aroma of coffee and the shouts of street vendors intertwine,

Every corner hides a story,
It's worth exploring~

Amman Citadel - a good site for architecture lovers
Located on the highest hill in Amman is the archaeological site “The Citadel”. This is a cluster of architectural works built from the 2nd century BC to the 8th century. Although many cultures once appeared here such as Persia, Greece, Byzantine and Islam, today only traces of the Greeks and Byzantines remain. These are the Temple of Hercules, the Byzantine church and the Umayyad palace.
The Temple of Hercules was built during the reign of emperor Marcus Aurelius, from 161 to 180, to worship the god of strength Hercules in Greek mythology. The temple only has two ancient Roman columns left that you can see from anywhere in the city. Right in front of the temple is an exquisitely crafted white stone hand, demonstrating the master craftsmanship of this period. The Byzantine church was built around the 6th - 7th centuries during the period when the Byzantine Empire invaded and occupied this land.
Currently, the church has been destroyed, leaving only the tall Corinthian columns bearing bold Roman architecture. The Umayyad Palace is a prominent building, built in the early 7th century with typical Islamic architecture, including an open courtyard to gather residents, a water tank and a main hall. The dome is almost intact. Located not far from the palace is the Jordan Museum of Archeology with hundreds of statues, ancient items such as pottery, glass, flint and metal tools arranged chronologically.
Along the ridge of the Citadel hill is a theater building that is considered the most impressive legacy of the Roman period in Amman. The theater was built by Emperor Antoninus Pius in the 2nd century. The auditorium is designed in a sloping and sloping architectural style, accommodating more than 5,000 people. Looking down from the Citadel, the theater is truly a pinnacle project because of the grandeur and ingenuity of the ancients.

Amman Citadel: City's Historical Heart
Standing over Jordan's capital, the Amman Citadel, also known as Jabal al-Qala'a, is a fascinating archaeological site steeped in history. Its strategic location atop the highest hill in central Amman has made it a coveted settlement for millennia, with evidence of habitation dating back to the Bronze Age (c. 3300-1200 BCE).
The Citadel's most prominent structures reflect its layered history. The Temple of Hercules, a Roman temple dedicated to the demigod, stands as a testament to the city's flourishing under Roman rule.
Beyond these iconic landmarks, the Citadel boasts archaeological remains from various periods, including a Byzantine church and a megalithic gateway dating back to the Iron Age.

A day of fun in Amman, Jordan, with a beautiful sunset on Castle Hill
A day of fun in Amman, Jordan, with a beautiful sunset on Castle Hill.
I went to Jordan, a very impressive niche travel destination, and I think half a day is enough for the capital, Amman.
Castle Hill in Amman
Recommended to go at sunset, you can see the beautiful sunset in Jordan, the sky is pink.
Roman open-air theater
You can overlook it from Castle Hill, and there is a square in front of the theater.
Amman Market
Personally, I like to visit local markets when I travel, where I can feel the atmosphere, visit souvenir shops, eat snacks, I bought a sunset sand painting from Jordan, which is in a bottle. Remember to bargain when shopping.
Snacks:
Arab coffee: You can see that it is heated with boiling sand, served in a disposable paper cup, the taste is very unique, with a strong spice flavor.
Kanafeh is a well-known Middle Eastern dessert, with various shapes, all sprinkled with crushed pistachios, the one I ate was really delicious! The sweetness is moderate, the filling is cheese, and it should be eaten while hot. Some others may be sweeter, and you can also buy bagged ones at the airport, which I quite like.
Shawarma: I ordered takeout, the Jordanian fast food set is Shawarma, fries and pickles, this roll is really delicious!
Falafel: Fried bean balls, and also made into sandwiches, I don't like it.
Finally, I want to emphasize that girls should be careful not to go alone, do not go to Jordan alone. Don't go to Rainbow St, there is really nothing, the small streets and alleys are extremely unsafe.

The dusk on the hill of Amman Castle is like 'a beautiful scroll'
I like the hustle and bustle in the old city of Amman and the fireworks, as well as the curiosity and innocence on the children's faces, those smiles as passionate as the brilliant sunshine, are never stingy on this land~
Looking around the whole city of Amman from Castle Hill, probably only the old city has this rightful slow rhythm. In the evening, there are tourists from all over the place on Castle Hill, as well as leisurely locals and their cats. A carpet, a cup of tea, a romantic sunset... At this point, 'the kingdom of time' is like a long scroll, slowly unfolding~

Put time in your pocket, you really don't understand the happiness of Jordanians 😀.
From Israel to Jordan, this journey is not easy, full of experiences, and I took many photos of the locals. But it's obvious that Israelis always have a cloud over their faces, while Jordanians are much happier. You can even often capture the bright smiles of women wearing headscarves.
During the days of playing in Jordan, the most impressive thing was the Castle Hill in the old city. At first glance, it was a ruin, but climbing up the hill over 400 meters high and savoring the broken walls and ruins, even after a thousand years, you can still see the grandeur and atmosphere of the past.
📜
About history:
It is said that in the 11th century BC, the Ammonites established the Kingdom of Ammon, and at that time, they established the capital on Castle Hill and named it "Ammon". Later, it gradually evolved into today's Amman, Jordan.
🔥
Personal favorite:
Standing on Castle Hill, you can see the entire old town area. Compared to the other main attraction of Castle Hill, the Wuyi Temple, I prefer these Roman columns. Some are standing, some are lying down, like a pair of hands of history that have experienced ups and downs, freezing time in a moment of abandonment.

Amman Citadel
Amman Citadel very nice place to visit in jordan 🇯🇴
An archeological site at the center of downtown Amman!
The Amman Citadel is an archeological site at the center of downtown Amman#staycation , the capital of Jordan. The L-shaped hill is one of the seven hills that originally made up Amman. The Citadel has a long history of occupation by many great civilizations.
ArtyDynadin
After visiting the world heritage site, the ruins of the ancient city of Jerash, he rushed to Amman, the capital of Jordan, to visit the Castle Hill. In the setting sun, the Castle Hill of the ancient Roman ruins and the Jordanian capital shine together, and there is a feeling of crossing time and space.
Castle Hill is the best location overlooking downtown Amman. When you climb the summit, you can see the ancient Roman theater at the foot of the mountain, like a half ring inlaid in the city. High-low, staggered buildings lined up in front of you. Overlooking the old city of Amman, the houses are interlaced, and there is no shortage of neatness in the mess. There is no shortage of mottled. A huge Jordanian flag is flying and hunting, this is the largest national flag in the world.
The National Archaeological Museum of Amman is in the Castle Hill and is the smallest museum I have seen so far. The Dead Sea Scrolls are the most important antiquities of the museum.

Castle Hill is the commanding heights of Amman. It used to be the first fortress in Amman and is closely related to the history of Amman. From the 11th century BC, the kingdom of Amon, who worshipped the Egyptian sun god, built the capital on the Castle Hill. Later, 300 years before the park, the Macedonian kingdom built Philadelphia again. Later, the Arabs built the Amir Palace. Today, in the Castle Hill you can see the three walls of the era, they witness the historical changes of Amman. Castle Hill is also the best place to overlook Amman. Ascend to the top of the mountain, the entire Amman city is high and low, and the rows of white buildings are in front of you. You will have a more perceptual understanding of the reputation of Amman's "White City".
