[2025 Hong Kong Restaurant] Travel Guide for Alvy's (Updated Apr)

I remember when I first got together with my partner, we took the tram to eat clay pot rice one day. On the way, we saw Alvy's, which had just opened about a year ago. I kept saying in the car that I would go there next time, but time flew by so quickly that the "next time" was three years later. I booked a seat online early and arrived around 8:30 on Friday. There was no need to queue but it was still busy. The walls of the shop are decorated with paintings of various sizes in reddish tones, which is very much in the American country style. Carpaccio salad $98 The air-dried beef slices were seasoned well, salty and fragrant, and went well with the rocket salad. Whiskey BBQ Chicken Pizza $148 The pancakes are freshly baked, with the blackened edges having a slight bitter taste, and the bottom of the pancakes being chewy and having a floury aroma. The homemade barbecue sauce has an apple aroma, sour and sweet. Although the whiskey is not very tasting, the overall flavor is deep, which is different from the ones sold in the market. It is excellent. With two glasses of craft beer, the fatigue of standing all day was swept away, and I look forward to coming again next time. Ever since I had an American pizza in Manhantan, New York, I have been obsessed with local pizza. The restaurant introduced this time, Alvy's, is located in the West End. The restaurant is inspired by New York's pizzarias. The shop sells a variety of alcoholic drinks, plus the restaurant uses an American nostalgic style, which is quite atmospheric. Dinner sets for two for $238 per person include snacks, chicken wings, salad, popular beers and pizza/pasta. Caesar salad with fermented bean curd The fermented bean curd sauce is full of salty flavour, and there are char siu chunks in the salad, which is a very novel salad. Ginger kosher potato pancakes When you see ginger paste, you can tell that they play Chinese and Western fusion. The French fries are soft and have a very fragrant ginger flavor. Whiskey BBQ Fried Chicken Wings The outside of the chicken wings is fried to a crispy texture, while the inner layer of chicken is tender and juicy. The sauce has a light wine aroma, which is very appetizing. Bacon cheeseburger pizza The pizza has a crispy base and uses bacon, cheddar cheese, pickles, bacon cheese and red onions.
