1. Basic Information & Atmosphere
Alpaca World is situated at 146-155 Deokbatjae-gil, Hwachon-myeon, Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon Province. Spanning 110,000 pyeong of lush forest, it is designed to harmonize with nature. Under the slogan "Nature, Animals, and People Happy Together," the park emphasizes cleanliness and safety for the animals.
In addition to alpacas, you can meet rabbits, sheep, goats, camels, parrots, eagles, deer, and more. The park offers engaging programs such as feeding, walking experiences, and performances.
2. Operating Hours & Admission Fees
- Operating Hours: 10:00 AM ~ 6:00 PM
- Ticketing closes at 4:30 PM, and the Healing Walk program ends at 5:00 PM.
- Admission Fee: Approximately 18,000 KRW (for ages 36 months to 64 years)
- Free entry for children under 36 months (proof required)
- Discounts available for seniors (65+), people with disabilities, and residents of Hongcheon/Chuncheon.
- Special Discounts: For example, in July-August 2025, there was a 30% discount event for holders of the Gangwon Digital Tourism Resident Card.
3. Main Experiences & Programs
- "Come Here, Alpaca" Performance: Watch alpacas gather in a herd every day at 10:10 AM.
- Rainbow Flying (Parrot Show): Held at 3:00 PM on weekends and holidays, featuring parrots performing tricks like passing through rings or singing. (Not available in winter)
- Coati Adventure: Interact and play with coatis, also known as long-nosed raccoons.
- Eagle Feeding: Get up close to eagles and feed them.
- Healing Walk (Alpaca Walk): Stroll through forest trails with alpacas, feed them, and enjoy a natural connection.
- Food Court & Cafe: The food court offers a variety of dishes like steak salad, pizza, cream shrimp, and tteokbokki. There's also a cafe space called "Alpaca Valley."
4. Transportation & Accessibility
- By Car / Parking: Search "Alpaca World" on your navigation system or enter the address (146-155 Deokbatjae-gil, Hwachon-myeon, Hongcheon-gun). Parking is near the main building, and a free shuttle bus runs frequently from the parking lot to the entrance.
- By Public Transport: From Hongcheon Terminal, take a bus to the "Deokbatjae" or "Pungcheon" stop, then walk about 10 minutes to the entrance. Note that village bus services connecting from Chuncheon Station or ITX Namchuncheon Station have been discontinued since 2019, so check in advance.

Tips & Notes:
- Arrive early to plan your visit at a relaxed pace.
- Be aware that the park has many slopes, which may be inconvenient for strollers.
- To participate in feeding activities, you need to purchase "Paca Coins." Plan your purchase as unused coins may not be refundable.
- Some experiences or performances may be altered or canceled depending on the animals' condition or weather, so check the official website or call ahead.
- There are many photo spots and scenic forest paths, so bring a camera.
- On hot days, stick to shaded areas and bring extra clothes or water for comfort.
