This Alchemist outlet is hidden in a fortified gothic building. To go with the gothic architecture of the building, the seating area of the café is also done up in the gothic style, while the counter and brewing area is in the more familiar brutalist style that Alchemist usually does. The menu is simple - black, white, chocolate, filter, iced or hot. They serve 2 espresso bean options - the usual Dark Matter, Brazil & Colombia mix & Don Alfonso, a Costa Rico mix. The white with Dark Matter brings out the chocolate-y notes of the beans, with a caramel-like sweet ending notes, which makes it easy on the palate. The price was surprisingly very affordable. Among the minimalist coffee shops I've visited across Asia, Alchemist at Plaza Singapura is one of the places that perfectly balances simplicity and quality. It’s located on the 1st floor of the mall, near Dhoby Ghaut MRT, making it super convenient to get to. I ordered an Americano to go because I had to hurry back to the hotel. The barista didn’t take long to make the coffee, and the shop offers a walk-up service to serve you. I have to review it: the coffee tastes great, refreshing, and wakes you up in the morning. When I visited, the atmosphere wasn’t too crowded. The shop is decorated in a modern style, making it a great resting spot right at Orchard. For those who love serious coffee and clean, modern design, this branch is a stop worth trying at least once ☕✨

#familytrips2024 Alchemist The Heeren is one of the few nice strong batista coffees in Orchard, they use very good beans combined with perfectly pulled espresso shots. Located on the heart of Orchard Road, make it easy to reach. It has a very nice and cozy environment. The cafe layout is very aesthetically pleasing. Nice and relaxing, breezy thanks to the many fans despite not having air-conditioning.
