*Aomori Museum of Art* This museum is famous for its large Aomori dog. Upon entering, you'll see a background painting of Areko adorning the four walls of the spacious room. The lighting, matched to the explanations, is incredibly beautiful, and you'll immediately be drawn into the world of art. Many works by artists from Aomori, the city of art, are on display, including a wide variety of works by Nara Yoshitomo, who also created the Aomori dog, including 3D manipulations. His paintings of adorable girls are famous! The exhibition by Shiko Munakata, who traveled the world, is also impressive. It makes you want to learn about the world as seen by the artist. The museum has permanent and temporary exhibits, as well as outdoor exhibits, so it will take about two hours to leisurely view everything, but it's a recommended spot for a cool, summery day.
