[Aomori/Aomori City] A trip to enjoy the Aomori Museum of Art and apples
*Aomori Museum of Art*
This museum is famous for its large Aomori dog.
Upon entering, you'll see a background painting of Areko adorning the four walls of the spacious room.
The lighting, matched to the explanations, is incredibly beautiful, and you'll immediately be drawn into the world of art.
Many works by artists from Aomori, the city of art, are on display, including a wide variety of works by Nara Yoshitomo, who also created the Aomori dog, including 3D manipulations.
His paintings of adorable girls are famous!
The exhibition by Shiko Munakata, who traveled the world, is also impressive. It makes you want to learn about the world as seen by the artist.
The museum has permanent and temporary exhibits, as well as outdoor exhibits, so it will take about two hours to leisurely view everything, but it's a recommended spot for a cool, summery day.
The pasta at the attached cafe is also delicious.

*MIA COFFEE ROASTERS*
I had an Americano and a Tarte Tatin (takeout, forgot to take a photo).
I thought Tarte Tatin was unusual in Aomori, where apple pie is so prevalent, and it was a great choice!◎
The fragrant caramel and unique, spicy Tarte Tatin were absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

Hours: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
*A-FACTORY*
A mall offering Aomori souvenirs and delicacies.
It's a lively place, bustling with young people and tourists!
*Oh, apples.*
There are so many apple-based snacks and juices to choose from, it's hard to decide! Ourin apple pie and Granny Smith tarte tatin.
You can really taste the distinct flavor of the apples.
Location: A-FACTORY, 1F, 1-4-2 Yanagawa, Aomori City, Aomori Prefecture
Hours: 10:00-19:00
*MACURE HOUSE*
They also have a store in A-FUCTORY, but I bought freshly baked apple pie at the Shin-Aomori Station store.
It's an apple pie that's easy to eat and has a flavor everyone will love.
The delicious smell of freshly baked apple pie is what draws you in, and you can't help but buy one.
Location: Aomori Shunmikan, Shin-Aomori Station, 1F
Hours: 9:00-19:00
*Wiener Café Konditorei Strauss*
I also bought freshly baked apple pie at Shin-Aomori Station, where they were also selling it.
I forgot to take a photo, but it's a long, thin apple pie.
While many apple pies have delicious crusts, this one's flavor immediately captures the taste of red apple flesh.
It was so light that it was gone in a flash.
Location: Aomori Shunmikan, 1F, Shin-Aomori Station
Hours: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
While in Aomori, you can enjoy delicious apples not only fresh, but also apple juice, cider, apple pie, tarte tatin, and more. 🍎
