Delicious restaurant in Parapat

Stopped by this restaurant for lunch after travelling 4 hours from Medan airport to Lake Toba and I must say that this restaurant is pretty good!! I love the Bakwan Jagung (fried corn batter), fried tilapia fish and both ayam goreng and sweet sauce chicken that they cooked! The meal is not super expensive despite locating very close to touristy lake toba. The whole meal cost around 12000 rupiah including hot tea. I added an alpukat to take away (1700 rupiah) and the serving was really huge! Do tell them not to add anything if you do not want sugar syrup, condensed milk etc. Recommended! #travelanywhere

Ferry from Jetty Tiga Raja to Samosir Island

For travelers from medan to Lake Toba, its relatively easy to access Samosir Island using local Ferries from jetty Tiga Raja. They have trips hourly starting from morning, latest around 6pm to the island. The trip one way would take around 45 minutes, payment around 25k rupiah per trip. Very smooth ride and easy access.
